Honestly didn't want to6give a star but its the only way to leave a review. Stopped at a culvers in Mt.Prospect around 5ish. Orederd 2 concretes and a cone. I asked the young man if they make dipped cones. The answer was yes. He then asked if I wanted a cake or waffel cone. Then I asked for a peach concrete with rasberrys and ordered a turtle concrete with strawberries.....i watched him put the peaches in mine then remind him about the rasberrys. He put it on the blender for like two seconds. Then he needed to ask someone else about the turtle.....specifically what goes in it. I wad surprised to see what appeared to be the shift mngr shrug his shoulders and tell him a couple pumps of this and that. Then after he does that I have to remind him to put the strawberries in. Again on the blender for two secs. Then my daughter's dipped cone.......I asked if he was going to dip it. He looked at me as if i was speaking another language. I asked again and he grabbed a dish and asked if i wanted him to dip it into the bowl. There was a young lady who walked up at that point and asked what was I asking for and I told her......we dont do that. Ok if you don't you don't but then lets make sure. The person taking the order knows how to answer questions accurately and if unsure maybe ask someone. Make sure the person taking the order and making signature dishes such as concretes knows how to make them. If the person taking the order and making the ice creams is new can you please make sure that someone who knows what theyre doing is with this person.
I spent nearly $14 on two concretes that were not enjoyable and my wife couldnt finish hers. Way too much fudge and barely any strawberries. The peach one.....i had rasberry seeds but no actual rasberries. Horrible horrible experience. Overall. I was at the Mt. Prospect store on...
Read moreThe place is nice, the restaurant is kept always very clean, though the temp inside is too cold during the Summer, so my daughter and l cant finish our meal inside :) This might be bad only for us cause the majority of the people like the temp cold, so I understand that. We dont go to this place often, like once every 2-3 months, we like the custard and that's the reason we go there, but we've never ordered anything else than shakes, sundaes, and concrete mixtures. The food is always nice and the quality is as expected. One thing that blemishes the whole experience is that the service is always different. Once in a blue moon I would get the caramel and cashew with a cherry on top and most of the time we dont. During the order I would request a cherry for the shake and we will still get our orders without any cherries and my daughter loves them so much. I never go to complain about it, but it doesnt make me feel good. I would say this is due to constant turnout in the restaurant, besides the manager almost every time there is a new youngster to take our order, as the last time I ordered Caramel Cashew Sundae and got charged extra dollar for the cashew, which was strange cause that's in the name. Overall, good place just be aware the service could be a hit or miss depending on who's...
Read moreThe food tastes less saltier than the one at arlington heights. That said, the crew are less friendlier. Yesterday, an employee, kept commanding to 'move forward' in the parking spots rather than trying to just give the food bags when if he had just stuck to giving the food to the customers. The line of TWO(2) cars would have moved forward and not been in the way of the nonexistent line behind us. Really dumb customer service.
There was no line, no reason to make a mention to 'move forward' by that employee. The 'line' would have moved forward by him just giving the food to the customers waiting. And there were no customers at the drive-up. They were already waiting in the spots to wait at.
The food...
