Dondi's Pizza — Restaurant in Elk Grove Township

Pros- Fast Delivery. Pizza was actually really hot when it arrived. Great tasting pizza. Good amount of toppings.

Too bad this was outweighed by the cons.

Cons- Got an olive pit in the pizza.

Person taking the order seemed very distracted. Asked what I wanted. After I told him he asked me to say it again. He repeated the order correctly.

On arrival, I got black olives instead of green. When I called to inform the store, he said he couldn't tell what kind of olives were ordered. Asked if I wanted to talk to a manager. When I said sure, I could hear him explaining to someone that I ordered one kind of olives and got the other and he can't remember which is which.

Same guy can back and I was offered 20% off a future order. This is the first time I've ordered here. I told him it would be my last. I truly believe that if you are given something you did not order, it should be comped. If it needed to be on a future order, that would be understandable.

I did not feel appreciated as a customer. I told the person on the phone not to add the discount to my account as I will not be ordering again.

Good pizza, but mistakes, sub-par ingredients, and a disregard for customers leads to a one...

My family and I had Dondi's Pizza last night. It's been a couple of years since I had it myself, and I was quite disappointed. We told them that we had a movie to catch, and they subsequently guaranteed the the pizza would be ready in 40 minutes, but it took around 1 hour and 20 minutes to make instead. In addition, there were 7-8 people impatiently waiting in line. I was told that there are some new owners, and the service/quality deteriorated since then. I think it's quite deceptive to have all the stellar reviews of the old owners continue on when it's an entirely new business in my eyes. They're removing most of the garlic bread/pasta options (ridiculous for a pizza joint, especially the garlic bread option), and just specializing in pizza.. Poor Service. Don't lecture the customer. Listen when the customer makes a complaint. Don't interrupt.

Usually I am very satisfied with this service. But today, I missed the call of the delivery man. He spent about 10 minutes waiting. I tried to apologize about missing his call but each time I was cut off by his disrespectful attitude. I was lectured like a child, told that the pizza I ordered wasn't worth his time, that he was missing out on making money while he waited for me, and he continued his beratemenr outside of my apartment building.

If he had simply said, I tried to call you. I've been waiting here for 10 minutes. I would have said sorry and thrown in an extra $5 in tip.
