McDonald's quality has gotten worse and worse over the years overall. Not just at this location, but at most locations in the US. It's bas8just barely above dog food. Fact is, my dog probably eats better. Typically, the burgers are dry and tasteless, sloppily made, just slapped together without any care at all. I don't know if it's due to product production procedures from McDonald's corporate, or what. But, as a former employee (swing manager) from the mid-1980's, I would trash most of what goes out the door these days, if I were calling the bin. Typically, what most McDonald's sells is dry, more than 10 minutes old (in the case of burgers), sloppily made, as indicated before. Most appear to be made as quickly as anyone can possibly throw them together. Chicken nuggets usually are dry, like they've been in the warming drawer for an hour (the limit used to be 30 minutes). The only item that's palatable is the Filet-of-Fish sandwich. Even then, it too is just thrown together. Sometimes so bad, you'd do better throwing it against a wall. I know, this review sounds harsh, but as a former swing, I know the standards. I hate to say it, but I started at a unit that had no drive through service and had 8 front counter registers. Yet, durable lunch and dinner rushes, all would have lines out the door. Each register would consistently do $500/hour. This was in the day that an item such as a Big Mac cost $1.65 (with tax). No clamshell grills, 4 people in the grill area and 1 on fries. $500/hr x 8 registers duringthe rush periods. We put out a better, more tastefully product than what most McDonald's stores produce. All these stores only have to deal with, for the most part, is a lousy drive-thru Window. Even that is slow as molasses (in winter). If the drive-thru is doing $500/hr, is only because an order of a burger, fries and drink for one person cost $10! I personally will not order any item other than a Filet or fries for the...
Read moreTerrible experience! Avoid this location at all costs. My family took a weekend holiday at the Dells. On the drive back we decided to stop and get some food before we hit city traffic. My oldest son has food allergies and we have to be careful where and what he eats. Usually Subway is perfect because we can avoid most issues. The rest of the family wanted McDonalds. We picked up Subway and brought the sandwich with us (no chips, no soda, just a 6" sub). A man came up to me and my son and told us we had to leave (wife was still getting the food for the rest of us) because there was no outside food allowed at "His restaurant", I kind of laughed and thought it was some type of joke. I explained the food allergy situation to him and he said there were no exceptions and that I should have my son eat the food in my car. At this point I asked if we could just finish eating our order and we would leave. He again proceeded to tell me to go eat in my car. My son at this point started shaking and thought he had done something wrong. I got really upset and told the guy to leave us alone. He left and proceeded to call the Police. At this point the police was now ready to escort me and my 5 year old son from McDonalds. I have no tolerance for hatred, ignorance, disrespect of law enforcement but this cop was getting free meals there because he had no problem kicking a family out of a restaurant that had just spend $25 at a restaurant brand that advocates a family friendly environment. The manager or owner "George" was ignorant and prejudice. I am a Marine Desert Storm War Veteran, college educated professional that fought for what George is enjoying. Shame on McDonalds for tolerating franchise owners like this!...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would. This is the ABSOLUTE WORST McDonald's I have ever been to. For a while, it was the most convenient one to visit location wise. Every time (and I do mean every time) we visited, they catastrophically messed up our order. On one occasion that sticks out in my head, We had a simple order. 20 piece chicken nugget WITH honey mustard and a plain burger happy meal. Thats it. As the employee (we later found out that it was the manager) was placing our food in the bag, my husband noticed he had sweet and sour sauce in the bag. My husband then said, "We asked for honey mustard, not sweet and sour sauce." The employee then with all the seriousness in the world looked at my husband and said "Yes but I put in sweet and sour sauce, is that okay?" Obviously this was not okay. It took 10 minutes to fix that small thing. We were so frustrated that we did not even look at the rest of our small order (that was our fault). When we got to the car, not even 5 minutes later, we noticed that they gave my 6 year old daughter a 4 piece chicken nugget instead of a plain burger. I went back in to deal with it, had the receipt in hand, asked for the manager and explained the situation. The manager, same a-hole we dealt with before, informed me that they could not have gotten the wrong order and that I had some how switched it out. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! This was the last time we went to this McDonalds. To top it off, as I was leaving, another lady behind me was complaining about her meal and the same a-hole looked at her and said (and I S* you not) "You probably dont need the large...
