We were waiting for a table and this customer came in saying “Table for 2? Oh, there’re 2 spaces at the counter.” And proceeds to enter immediately. My partner and I were never offered those seats and it just felt unfair that the staff would allow him to cut in line like that. Food took a while to be served because of the crowd which is understandable. The ham was definitely as good as the reviews mentioned, perfectly seasoned and soft, worth going back for. The skillets were good too with generous amount of ingredients. However, the pancakes were the worse we ever had. It literally tasted like it was made from pancake mix and water. It was flat, tasteless, slightly bitter from being overcooked. I’m glad I saved it for last otherwise I would be pretty upset about it. Even butter and maple syrup couldn’t save it. I was pretty full by then so I didnt bring it up with the waitress, we barely saw her anyway. All in all, definitely will return for the ham but would definitely not want to dine in again.

First visit here though I grew up only blocks away in 1969. Saw a very favorable post on Neighborhood site and I was in the area. Our breakfast was just fantastic and I'm kicking myself for not having gone here over the past 55 years. We will definitely be back. 05/02/2025 Update: We've been back here a bunch of times now. We introduced my brother and sister-in-law as well and they LOVE it too!! Everything, everyone has tried has been great! We drove home from Pittsburgh today and stopped here for a late lunch even before going home!!! 8/12/2025 Mr. Allison's is our regular breakfast and lunch stop now. We come here at least once a week... sometimes twice (even though it's a half hour drive each way)! We've never been disappointed. Everything is always great! One o f my friends who lives even further away than me stopped in last week and he and his wife were amazed. They're already planning to come back. Had my first burger there today. Naturally, it was amazing!!!

Mr. Allison's is our go to breakfast place. We've been coming for years now. Everything is absolutely delicious and the staff is so friendly. From the huge omelets to the biscuits and gravy, everything is amazing! The best thing on the menu is the carnitas benny. It's a twist on eggs benedict. English muffin topped with smashed avacado, carnitas, poached egg, jalapeños and a chipotle hollandaise sauce. To die for. My new favorite for lent is the stuffed waffle. It's stuffed with a strawberry creme cheese sauce, fresh strawberries and bananas and topped with whipped creme. Oh.em.gee!!!! Wow! Unbelievably good and surprisingly light! If you haven't tried them I suggest you give them a try. You won't be disappointed.

Holy COW!! THIS PLACE WAS GREAT. My daughter and I found this place while in the area for another event at the HS. My son was in the Special Olympics and we had a large amount of time between his events. My son wanted to stay with his friends. My daughter and I were starving. Parking was packed so didn't want to move the car. Found this place and decided to walk!! 1.3 miles to be exact. With out a doubt well worth the walk.We got lucky and we're seated immediately. It did get packed as we were leaving though. I had the best eggs Benedict ever! EVER. That ham is DELICIOUS !! American potatoes were crispy and tender.I would order fries next time,(just a preference). Daughter had a cheeseburger and fries excellent! Both plates were packed! The food being served around us were the same. Piled with food. The pancakes looked great too! Fried steak was crazy huge! Anyway, and this is weird I got a side of grilled jalapeños! OMG! DELECTABLE AND PERFECTLY CARAMELIZED SALTY AND SWEET AND PERFECT!! CRAZIEST THING! JUST TRY 'EM!! THIS PLACE IS A TEN TO BE HONEST. IF IT WASNT 15 MILES FROM ME ID BE THERE 4 DAYS A WEEK!! Crazy we found it by chance too. Anyway our tab was $26 bux. I was surprised by how reasonable it was and how much we got and how good. I was completely satisfied and we got a deal!! That's getting rare all these corporate places are a ripoff! WE HAVE TO SUPPORR THESE...

Big portions and good prices, but customer service is what needs to be fixed to be successful. My family and I went on fathers day to Mr Allison's. Of course like every other restraunt it was busy on that day. My father sat at the counter 20 min before we got there and had coffee. We understand it is busy so we are waiting and waiting. My father notices at least 2 other parties that are sitting at there tables alot longer past them finish there food. One of the waitresses has the audacity to tell my father, he had to get up because he has been there for too long. Instead of saying something to one of the other tables, so we can sit (we had a party of 5). I couldn't believe it so she lost 5 paying customers for her stupid remark. My advice to management teach your waitresses proper etiquette on how to talk to the customers because of pennies that day you lost dollars. I knew Mr. Allison before he passed away, he would have never talked to his customers like that because he knew how hard it is to gain a customer. I will never step foot in there again because of that remark. If that is the case management should take note on how long people are sitting...

I've been coming here since I was in high school when me an day mom moved I to town. I decided to take my best friend who had never been before. When we got there we were greeted with the most annoyed and rude server ever. She was a tall girl skinny with short hair. She was un professional, never smiled, was not attentive at all. Never even asked if I wanted another drink even tho my glass was empty before I got my food which didn't come for 4t min after my friends soup arrived. I'm a server my self for more than 13 years, I was appalled by her service and was more surprised she had a job. I tipped her very well more than 60% of my bill as I think she's gonna need it because I don't see a promising future in the service industry for her. Food was good however the gravy had chunks of flower in it, atleast they make there own gravy. I just wish this wasn't the experience u showed my friend who was a potential new customer who is also a food service manager at a very well known restaurant. SMH. But I will be back never to sit with that...
