I'm a Courier driver (think doordash, Postmates, etc) I visited this restaurant this morning to pick up an order. I stood for 10-15 minutes without being acknowledged by a single employee, although I let this slide because I saw that their drive through was busy, even though I was one of only about 7 people who entered and left the lobby throughout the entire 20 minutes I stood waiting for my order. After watching multiple other dashers pick up their order and leave I got the attention of an employee and asked about my order, since I thought maybe it was stolen. They told me "oh, we already made that" and I said well, it's assigned to me, and I never received it? Apparently this restaurant does not know how doordash works, because orders are assigned to ONE dasher. That dasher being me. They tried to tell me that I needed to contact the customer and ask if they received the food. How the hell would the customer have received the food, if I'm the only driver assigned to the order? Whoever took the order CLEARLY does not have the customer's address. After contacting doordash and having them try to contact chick fil a (they didn't answer), we had to cancel the order and leave the customer without the food they had ordered. This is pathetic and lazy coming from the chain that claims to value their customer service SO much.. when this issue could've simply been resolved by remaking the order that THEY allowed to be stolen. It would've cost them next to nothing to just remake the order but instead they chose to lose out on all payment because they refused to just remake the food, so now I will not be compensated for the 30+ minutes I spent at this restaurant due to their complete incompetence and...
Read moreWould not recommend this location. They put policy over people. I visited this location on Saturday with my two kids. Unlike other local Chick-fil-A locations, this one only has ONE drive thru lane and the other lane is for "mobile" orders only. Since we are not from the area, I drove in the lane that was shortest, which happened to be the mobile lane. Unfortunately, I was not helped at the order station and when I asked three employees to help take my order, they all said no because I was in the wrong lane! They wanted me to get back in line, which meant I had to wait in the drive thru line to get out and get then back in line. How is that excellence customer service?
When I spoke to the manager at the window, Amanda, she again decided to tell me about their policy and that I had to get back in line to order. I shared that I felt I was intentionally being refused service, which was very uncomfortable especially for the kids.
Despite these statements, Amanda continued to reiterate the policy and the request that I get back in the line. When I shared that I no longer want to eat there and asked for the store manager's number, she continued to remind me of the policy and took forever to get the manager's name and number. Come on, you can't be serious! I realized it was more about them being right than doing the right thing. I finally got the store manager's name, Brian Marcus, who I plan to contact. I will continue to visit other Chick-fil-A's that treat me more like a person...
Read moreLet’s see where to start... every-time I go through the drive thru, they forget my drinks, once I ordered kids chicken nugget meals & got all the way home before I realized they forgot to put the chicken in the bag. They have forgotten to give me back change twice. And then there’s when you dine inside. The tables & seats are always dirty. You have to clean them yourself. There’s always a group of high school kids employed by them that’s sitting in the corner high top tables by the drive thru having a social club/lunch break. The service here is not like the service in newark establishments. No one ever comes over to your table to check on your meal, to see if you need your drink refilled, to take away any trash. I understand it’s a fast food restaurant BUT considering when you dine in at other Chic Fila’s the people working there are older & more accustomed to giving you outstanding service while dinning in, you come to expect it. I don’t know if it’s the franchise owner who differs the rules for the Elkton establishment or if it’s the many high school kids employed there that make it a miserable experience. Newark is the one to go to where kids get free ice cream cones & Miss Kathy is a friendly familiar face who goes out of her way for 100% service...
