Squirrleys Ice Cream — Restaurant in Elkton

Fantastic ice cream shop! Stopped by today with my family and tried the key lime cheesecake, mint chocolate, and mango and all were top notch! I'm an ice cream aficionado from a big city filled with ice cream shops, so trust me when I say the flavors are amazing. I had the key lime cheesecake and it had the perfect balance of tart and sweet mixed with lovely chunks of cheesecake. I tried a bite of my son's mango and it tasted like it was made from a perfectly ripe mango pulled straight from the tree- (probably not, but the flavor- OMG.) My mom said her mint chocolate chip was the best she ever had, and she loves mint chocolate chip. Hers had both tiny flecks and large chunks of chocolate mixed into the mint. SUPER all around! Super friendly service who easily dealt with our family of 9. Super patient and answered all of our annoying questions. The ice cream was sooooo good. The portions are very generous as well. As a movie nerd I was a huge fan of the pictures on the wall (most autographed) and the story of the owner going to sci-fi conventions to collect them. Went on afternoon and found out they switched to Hershey's ice cream instead of the more unique Windy Knoll creamery kind. Hershey's is more readily available so we always look forward to having special ice cream here. Not a huge selection of flavors and didn't see any sundae options. Probably will leave the squirrels alone and go to another ice cream place...
