Wee Willie's West — Restaurant in Ellettsville

Service is great but the food was kinda gross. The gravy is thin. The biscuits are dry and bland. The omlettes are huge, but ruined by being flavorless aside from huge globs of American cheese. The hash browns are fine, but this food is so bland and uninspired. Stick with cozy table or cloverleaf.

Also, reading through the reviews the owner seems really passive aggressive. Replies "wow" when someone complains about the food or something similar. If I had known this, I would not have spent a penny here. Customer service is important. If I acted like that toward people in my workplace, I would be fired. Complain about staff? A usual reply is "at least the food was good." These are poor customer service responses. It seems like the owner needs to take some classes on customer service or just not reply to negative reviews if a "wow" is how one is going to respond.

And no, your food is not good. I have never seen gravy without any thickness our flavor aside from this restaraunt.

Plus, looking at the videos posted in Facebook, the cookware looks dirty. Large black spots on the side of a mixing bowl with mashed potatoes is not exactly the definition of cleanliness. Why would anyone think it is a good idea to post a video when there is grime on the side of a bowl? Maybe it was a chip off the bowl, but it looked more like something caked on and not washed properly. It's disgusting. At least keep things under wraps if its not the definition of cleanliness at a food establishment.

Look for a comment on my review! The owner will probably post something passive...

I went there this evenin for dinner with my wife and nephew, ordered the same thing I order every time I go, sausage and cheese omelette with sausage gravy over it(country omelette) the other 2 ordered beef manhattans. When she my meal out, the omelette was small and didnt have sausage gravy but this nasty lookin, tasting and gritty gravy on it, wife said it looked kinda green to her. I asked the waitress if they changed it and she said she didnt know what how it was supposed to be but she would ask the "cook". She came back and told me it was white gravy, ya right, but she could take that back and have another made but I just told her if she could get me the sausage gravy Id be ok, wrong choice on my part. Instead of goin straight to the kitchen, she went and checked on her other tables, which werent there was hardly anyone in there, then finally went to the kitchen and had a discussion with the "cook', this whole time my food was getting cold. When she brought out the gravy in a tiny bowl, there wasnt even a heaping tablespoon in it. So, my food was cold, the sausage in my omelette was burnt, I barely had enough gravy to cover the tiny omelette and I had this green lookin gravy on the side of my plate, if it wasnt for my nephew grabbing the bill and paying as fast as he could they wouldnt have got squat from me. Ive had issues in the past but never voiced them but this was the last straw, if I could post this without a star I would but I cant so I guess its 1 star. I think the horse is goin lame and needs to be put out...

What a disappointment. I've been customer for years and it just seems ever since that one guy left, this restaurant has went downhill in the past year. I've given more than enough times to redeem themselves because I know the potential but its just been terrible the last few times. Tonight was the last night Wee Willie's will get my business. I don't recommend this restaurant at all. The quality of food is terrible and the service is worse. Not saying the employees were rude but it took 30 mins in the drive thru to get cold food that was supposed to be hot. My fries were way overcooked. Some burnt to a crisp. Grilled cheeseburger...well the cheese wasnt even melted and burger tasted like its been sitting for awhile. The lettuce in my salad was wilted and some brown. I also had to yell my order repeatedly in the speaker because the employee couldn't hear at normal speaking level. I love food and will pay for good food as well as drive far for it. I used to love coming here but not anymore. Not even worth calling them to fix it. I hate to speak of Wee Willie's like this but I would want to know if I have never been here....
