Bengong's Tea — Restaurant in Ellicott City

The main reason for this rating is sadly due to the quality of the drinks and ingredients. Kind of disappointing that all Bengongs are actually quite different in quality and sadly this must be the worst one I've tasted and I've been to most if not all of the Bengongs in the DMV area. I liked this franchise because of the quality of their teas, but I nearly spit out my drink because the milk teas here taste like the generic powdered ones that other less quality places would use. Very shocked it could differ so much in quality in just one state over. The same drink can taste SO different. It is a very clear difference in taste what actual tea is vs the powdered kinds. Very disappointing. And also, totally agree with what other people are saying in that the workers were not exactly friendly or kind. Definitely not the greatest service but the rating for me here is mostly due to the lower quality in their ingredients, not what I'd expect...

I ordered a extra sweet black tea from Bengong's. When I got it there was no sugar at all in the drink. I told the service person I ordered extra sweet not 0 sugar. She kept pointing to the ticket that printed out and said that's what I ordered. I told her no I didn't I specifically push 125% sugar on the board. She refused to make a new one so I asked for my money back. So she removed the lid and added sugar. She could've done that in the first place instead of going back n forth with me

Also there is a new food place connected to them MiTaco. It offers birria ramen soup and tacos. This was the worst tasting birria soup/broth I've ever had. It was so bland and didn't have any corn or onions like traditional birra. Plus they hardly had any beef in it and what they had was so fatty. I had to pull out so much fat, it was just nasty.

Purchased a $6 boba tea. First, they didn't make it. I had to ask them to make it after waiting 10 minutes. Then I asked them just for just a tiny splash of milk in my black tea, but the girl working the counter vehemently refused. She said I had to order something different just for a tiny splash of milk (but at this point, I already paid). Then she said I could talk to a manager (?).
