Harris Teeter — Restaurant in Ellicott City

Last night was my 1st time visiting this place. I've heard so many great things about this grocery store but I've never visited any locations for groceries. I have visited a down South location for Starbucks but not for groceries. Well, tonight's the night.

We literally needed nothing, maybe 0-2 items but I just wanted to look through here while I had time and check out the fresh departments as well as shelf stock. I was very very impressed. Overall the prices are good. There were a few items that I noticed was $1-$2 more here than other places and then items $2 to $4 less here than other places so you really need to know your stuff.

The quality of fresh veggies and meats, variety of brands, spaciousness of store and cleanliness of environmental was appropriate.

Once I got to the checkout I knew I was coming back. I 1st went to customer service to see if they have a club card and they do. Jacob was kind enough to assist me and put me in the system so now I am a VIC member of this place as well.

I am looking forward to returning back and purchasing more items and continuing to support a place to has everything your grocery...

Recently moved down from NJ. Overall I love MD but I must say most of my experiences so far have been great. However I was blown away by the service I recently received at Harris Teeter.

I picked up my online order. Upon arriving home and unpacking I realized I received someone else's bag and they still had one of mine. So I called figuring I would run back over once my husband got home. But they offered to run the bag over to me.

Now I'm already shocked because I'm from NJ and this is not the type of service I'm accustomed to receiving. They arrive with my bag AND a refund for the products they came to deliver. I have never received such great service. I didn't yell or complain so there was no indication that I was expecting a refund.

This is exactly how a great business operates and keeps its customers. Thank you for truly going...

This store gets more than half my grocery store business. I appreciate that it is not a huge, sprawling store like many new stores these days and I like the system at the checkouts that keeps me from having to unload my cart. The pharmacy staff is super-friendly. Boar's Head meats at the deli a plus. There is room for improvement though. Bad experience with long wait times for curbside pickup service (they did a pretty good job making up for it, however) and some of the staff are s l o w moving. Managers have always seemed good and on top of things though. Produce went through a rough patch for a few months last winter but it has seemed much...
