While there is certainly an abundance of competitors, they all pale in comparison to the ingenuity, the quality, and the kindness that awaits you in this store. Besides... who else makes gluten free cupcakes taste this delicious???

My wife is a gluten free advocate which means that inevitably she will consume gross dry flavorless products. NOT SO at Kupcakes & Co. We have been making the journey to their store for years. I always laugh when at the end of a day, she comes through our door with a bag of Kupcakes.

Survive a stressful work week? Kupcakes. Celebrating a special occasion? Kupcakes. Somebody from out of town hasn't had Kupcakes? Kupcakes.

I have never known a friendlier grouping of people who wait patiently and excitedly in a line to select their Kupcakes. I once witnessed a large intimidating man purchase a kupcake for a stranger waiting in line behind him who had never been to Kupcakes & Co before! He said, "Welcome to Maryland" and he walked out the door. Where else does this kind of magic happen???

My wife and I were so mesmerized with Kupcakes & Co's commitment to excellence that we knew that on our wedding day, we would be having a Kupcakes & Co designed cake. We knew we specifically wanted not just a nice tasting cake, but one that embodied us, embodied Maryland, embodied artistry, one that our guests could come back to Maryland and enjoy if they so choose.

When the catering company decided to throw out our leftover cake slices and claimed no wrong doing, we were frankly devastated. We were looking forward to having our 1 year anniversary and getting to eat our wedding cake. When Kupcakes & Co. heard about the catering company fiasco, they leapt to our aid and baked us a replacement tier.

When they did that, they not only righted a wrong that wasn't theres, but they gifted us more than just a cake. They gifted us something that was taken from us... MONTHS of memories, traditions, rituals, and bonding. I will be forever grateful to this company.

It is why I write these words passionately encouraging you to spend your hard earned dollars on a few well designed desserts because what you get in return is so much more than a cupcake.

I don’t write many reviews but my fiancé and I had such a great experience at our tasting that we wanted to shout from the rooftops about how wonderful this family owned and operated business is.

First, let’s start with the initial phone call. As a groom to be, I’m very uneducated regarding wedding planning etiquette and timelines so most of my action throughout our planning process has been based on things my bride to be suggests. She suggested we needed to set up cake tastings as our wedding is about 4 months out. The other bakeries I called were rude and pretentious but Kupcakes and co. told me our timeline for these tastings and ordering cake was fine. They made me feel comfortable and they explained the process and set up expectations right up front, then they gave me an email to connect with the person who schedules the tastings. The email process to schedule and pay for our sample cupcakes was very simple and straightforward, even with my fiancé and I both having food allergies(her: gluten, me: some tree nuts).

Next the day of the tasting: we arrived to a packed storefront but were greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. Once we checked in, the owner took time to chat with us as the tastings were running a bit behind. They shared their story and we talked about all their different offerings. After a few minutes it was time to head over to the tasting room and enjoy some cupcakes.

Tasting: ENJOY is an understatement, these cupcakes(even the gluten free ones) were some of the most delicious I have ever tasted. While not a pastry chef myself, I did attend culinary school and I know a thing or two about quality pastries. So take my word for it and at least schedule a tasting with them, I promise you won’t be disappointed. The layers of flavors and the creative designs/decorations along with the top notch customer service truly set Kupcakes and co. a tier above all the rest. I've lived in the area for 5 years now and every year I look for a good bakery to do my son's birthday cake/cupcakes. The first four years his cakes were alright. Nothing to write home about. In fact, my mother comments often on how I am 0/4 for her grandson's birthday cakes and that if I failed this year she would be taking over the duty. I did some searching to find a bakery I had not used before. I had seen Kupcakes & Co. a few times and always liked the pink decor but for some reason never went in. I was in New Jersey at the time, so I called and inquired about what flavors they had and what they could do. I ended up getting a dozen cupcakes in a variety of chocolate, red velvet, peanut butter, and vanilla. I called the Clarksville location and was told they weren't open on Sunday and Monday. I needed them for that Monday. They said they could have them ready by Saturday and that if I stored them properly they would be good for Monday. They were GOOD AND MORE! The flavors were distinct and bold. The icing wasn't overpowering like many bakery confections tend to be. The cake was soft and moist and light like fluff! Gosh, I love fluff. This was November 3rd when they were picked up. It's November 15th. The icing is still soft and the cake is still moist. I swear, they're so good I'd eat them out of the trash.
