LET ME START BY SAYING I WILL GO BACK . The Food was good as expected. Although , I had random onion slivers on my plate (probably from someone else's entree cooking next to mine) which made my Cinnamon Roll French Toast a little weird. The Mocha Latte was good. It was bigger than expected, a great value. I made it a platter. $30 for Brunch drink included. Service was not good. #1 - NO SOAP IN THE BATHROOM. I had to ask. She had to look, which means there is not a stocked shelf FULL of the most vital of the health and safety requirements. She did pull it from somewhere else so, they had soap for the workers. #2 No one sat me. An employee behind the counter pointed to a table and told me I could sit there. And there I sat for quite some time. Then the owner Katie saw me and said ' You don't need a menu. You do you?'(maybe she thought I was someone else, a regular or something). Then I sat more. The busboy/man I think his name was Ray ,asked if I needed to order. Claudia came over and took my order, which came out very fast. My plate was chipped. A family was sat to my left. They had a similar experience, Waiting... Ray to the rescue again. He brought everyone menus. A woman was sat to my right. I think she knew the owner. Her order was taken immediately. But, when excellent customer care is not your culture, there are problems. Her food was delivered super fast but she didn't have any utensils. We made eye contact over it. Even though they have room to grow as far as customer service is concerned, I...
Read moreMy guest and I chose this restaurant because of the rating but were very disappointed!
After we ordered our food I watched as a server cleared a table, brought the dishes to the trashcan, emptied them, clapped his hands together, then pick up his phone and it looked like he began to text. He did not wash his hands. Before I could finish telling my guest what I just saw. The server was called to pick up an order. I managed to get his attention before he picked the clean plates up. I politely and quietly told him what I just saw him do. I also let him know that I have observed the rest of the wait staff do the same accept one girl. He nicely said ok and as he went to wash his hands in the perfectly, accessible sink for all staff to use, he told 2 others what was said.
It turned out those plates he was called to pick up were mine and my guest (whew!) the girl I identified as the only one that washed her hands brought our food. My guest did have bacon missing off her plate, the sausage was BURNT ( just flipped over), her waffle was underdone because the dough was seen throughout and last but certainly not least the food tasted as if it was all cooked in the same crease…. Even the bacon had no taste.
Although I would never eat here again, I will say that the staff did smile and the server took the...
Read moreWe love this place, we started coming since they opened, we used to go to café EZ 1 in Ellicott City, but we like this one better as has more space and more tables. All servers, and personnel are polite, always with good vibe. Food is great, they have a lot of options available. We like to come for Breakfast, Brunch or Lunch. But this place has all day Breakfast options. So, if you are like me, you can enjoy a great selection of pancakes at noon 😀. The only thing we don't like much are the prices, but everything is expensive nowadays, right? So, I don't blame this place for rising their prices as food is 98% of the times delicious. Coffee is also great, kind of the same price as Starbucks :( but is good coffee. They have also smoothies which are also delicious and other "adult" drinks for a happy hour... Burgers, salads, wraps, all I've tried here has been if not delicious, great or good. We have never experienced any bad time. Just the heads-up, this place can be crowded, so expect some waiting time at lunch or around 9-10 for breakfast during...
