Wen Ming House — Restaurant in Ellington

One of the best Chinese places around. You know how you have a tendency to get that one dish you like, and not try other things on the menu for fear of being let down? No such fear here, almost everything I've tried has been AWESOME. Feel free to be brave and you will be rewarded with excellent food from a thoughtful, expedient, and very courteous staff.

I can also speak from personal experience that they are very professional and masters or their craft. I know it sounds like hyperbole, but they really do seem like a well-oiled machine. We've ordered from Wen Ming probably dozens of times and they've only made one mistake. They forgot our sodas. I didn't care, but they called me to confirm they had forgotten to deliver the sodas, and about 15 minutes they showed back up with our soda and free extra soda(not that I need it lol).

Just to be clear, sometimes I have a hard time understanding them over the phone, so I had thought I made it clear it was ok they had forgotten the soda and not to worry about it, and then to my surprise they showed back up anyway.

To me, this just speaks to their dedication to do what's right, regardless of it being inconvenient for them.

Usually a good experience and good food. Tonight I ordered and got everything 1hr later (busy night, I get it) however, I ordered pineapple shrimp and I got something totally different. I called and explained simply wanting my proper order and wanting to send out the wrong food. Hour later...nothing. Had to call back again and I got asked if I wanted it credited for tomorrow.. Um no. I asked for it now and if I wanted it tomorrow id order it tomorrow. I'm hungry. Meanwhile there is about 1.5 hrs left until they close.. I ended up just getting the proper order @5 min ago. I get it, mistakes happen, I used to be in the restaurant business. Busy or not.. No excuse to make what you want (girl on foods word of what he does and was told multiple times not to) and each order needs to be checked before getting delivered. Ends up holding up the kitchen even more. All I ask is check your ticket and what is being made and sent/handed to the customer. Not sure if I'll be back....

I've gotten food delivered many times from this place and each time I've been very happy with my meal.

The Good: ♡ - The sushi always looks and tastes fresh. ♡ - I highly recommend the Mango Shrimp. It tastes exactly like the one cooked at Sakura Garden, if not better ♡ - The driver has a 4-wheel SUV so they were able to deliver my takeout during a snowstorm! Of course he got a very generous tip from me because of this! ♡ - If you're like me and hate talking on the phone, then definitely check out their website since you can order online. They're also in the app Beyond Menu which is actually where I always place my order. I've never had any issues ordering this way.
