A wonderful gem of an ice cream place. They care deeply about their customers so each person/group in line is about 3-10 minutes to get taken care of as they seem to be light on workers. I highly suggest utilizing their website and Facebook and assembling an order and calling ahead, definitely cuts down on time. This summer they been doing 5 scoops for 5 Fridays where you pick 5 flavors of ice cream for $5! Please note all flavors come in one bowl and are not individually assembled on this deal. Smoothies are yummy as well, make sure to add a scoop of ice cream to be blended in to really make it good. Have coffee too and will do coffee ice cream float. Good selection of flavors too!
They are doing their due diligence for COVID precautions - masks on employees, masks required to order, window service instead of going into store, markers on the ground for social distancing, order window and pickup window with tray system so the surface your ice cream is served on is...

The outside is super cute! They have a tiny patio near the front door where you can grab a blanket if you need and hang out while you eat your ice cream. They have additional high top seating around the front of the building as well. There are an incredible amount of options inside so if you have decision paralysis, get readyyyyyy. The staff was very patient while we thought and thought and thought.
After careful deliberation, I ordered the Coffee Heath Bar hard serve in a waffle cone (that they make there!!!) and my wife ordered Nana's Ginger in a cup. Both were amazing! The coffee heath was so well made; creamy and dreamy. The ginger was so light and refreshing! I almost switched but the coffee was too good to give up.

Read moreAfter a long day of hiking in Acadia National Park, what nicer reward than delicious ice cream? If you agree, Morton's Moo is for yoo. Why brave the traffic and crowds in Bar Harbor when the best ice cream is right here in Ellsworth on your way home? On this visit I had a sugar cone with one scoop of Pumpkin Chocolate Chip and another of Nana's Ginger, both exquisite. Server Anasofia was friendly and helpful. Owner Molly explained that they still use the original owner's classic recipes while adding a few new ones. (If it ain't broke, don't fix it--eat it!)
