I don't usually write reviews unless the service is really good or really bad. This place is the poster child for the anti $15/hr debate. So I go to pick up dinner on a very busy evening for me and my family. I ordered a fairly simple order, so I thought, two sandwiches, two fries, a happy meal for a boy, and two all-day breakfast-items. I complete my order and proceed to the pay window.
At the pay window, I show the cashier my McDonald's app with a bar code to scan for a coupon. She scans, it doesn't work. Scans again, nothing. She mentions something about "they've been working on the computers" and tries to manually enter the discount. Then she just walks away without saying anything. Odd. Someone comes to the register and does something and never acknowledges me. Odd. She comes back and says "card". Huh? "Card. I need your credit card." I hesitantly hold my card up while I ask "so what's the total?" She grabs the card from me and swipes it without acknowledging g my question. I ask again, what was the total? Because at this point I still don't know my total, if the coupon worked or not. She says "oh I don't know". So she grabbed my card and swiped it without telling what my total was. Strike one.
She looks at the receipt as if it's the first one she's ever seen. Seriously, it took her forever to read it and find out that the manager did get the coupon to work. Ok, I'm a little less upset about the card thing. I pull up to the pick up window. For as long as I spent at the pay window, I though for sure my order would be ready. Nope. As soon I get there, they inform me that they had to pull my order. "Please pull into a space and we'll bring it out to you". Ok. This is a little irritating but it happens. I get it. Still cool...kind of.
I pulled into a parking space. I wait. I wait. I see 1, 2, 3 cars also get "pulled". I wait some more. Then I see 3, 2, and 1 all get their orders. So we're on a last in, first out basis. Weird. I finally get my order and a half-assed apology for the wait. Whatever. I check my order because I really didn't have the time to wait any longer. No happy meal. I holler out the window before the runner gets inside that they forget the happy meal. Didn't hear what she said. I waited some more. Strike 2.
She brought the happy meal out. I was seriously considering going in to talk to the manager because this has been the worst order yet. I mean, every aspect, except the actual ordering was horrible. I decide I don't have time and we have to go. Half way home I decide to let my son start eating. I hand him his happy meal and hear a loud groan from the back seat. "Daaaaaaad. We have to back. I got Barbie!" Strike 3.
So, needless to say, I was very disappointed with my experience at the Ellwood city McDonald's. I understand that everyone has a bad day once in while. But this experience is more indicative of piss-poor management. I will go out of my way to never go...
Read moreI went through the drive thru this evening and ordered a number 3, chicken nuggets, and other things.. When the girl hands me my bag I see a crispy chicken sandwich, I tell them I must have got someone else order.. the manager on duty comes to the window and says let me see you receipt, I show the receipt and she says that it shows a crispy sandwich.. ii asked if it was a number 3..then I see that I didnt get my chicken nuggets,I tell her and she roles her eyes and goes back to what she was doing.. so i pull up to a parking spot to wiat for my my stuff.. the girl comes up with a bag and only the quarter punder is in there, i ask where my nuggets are she goes on to say that she is only a employee and the manager said i already got them.. NO I DIDNT.. she said im sorry there is nothing I can do.. I said you tell your manager to come out with my nuggets or take all this food and give me my money back..I paid for nuggets.. i don't have them.. the employee did come back out with my nuggets..The manager was so mad that I didn't even eat them lord knows what she could have done to them.. i will never go back to this McDonald's. Im still in shock that they were fighting with me that I got nuggets when I in...
Read moreI'm very upset with the store and management. I went and placed an order for dinner. When I got home I was short half and what I did get was wrong. I had a hard day and didn't want to spend an hour getting it redone with the drive and wait time.i tried 4 times to call but no one answered. The next day I was in the area so I stopped in. I was met with a pleasant young lady , I told her I wanted to talk to a manager. She apologized and went to get one. A lady came out of the back and asked what I needed. I asked if she was the manager , she said no. ( my goal was to explain how often the orders are wrong and nothing more) I explained what I was there for, the lady turned rude and said so you want food? I said no a manager . She replied she is busy ,I will get you some food. She made me feel disrespected and like I was running a scam. At that point I told her just give me my money , it took 15 minutes for a refund.
