I ate there once about as I ordered online twice. About 3 years ago one order was okay. Wasn't great. The second order. It was a Chicken Soup, & something else that was all right. My problem with the place is that they talk about you while you're there, they're going to say they don't, but I do know some Mandarin. I do know a little Korean. I am far from a professional at that, but I believe in learning different languages is just how i've always been so that you have some kind of an idea of what people people are saying, or you can try and at least be on the up and up with them. They're very rude. There is a lady that normally takes the orders or else happens to, you know, shove them towards you there was a shortmiddle-aged guy in the back. He always looks at me because I'm racially mix he always looks at people like we're gonna come and STEAL something of their's. I hv feelings :( I don't order there & I refuse 2 even accept to go orders. After what happened recently, they're just prejudice & the odd thing about it is they're not from here. I myself was not born here. I came early while my mother was out of the country. You know, but they JUST TALK ABOUT "U" they talk about U They're rude. They yell things at you, but they treat the WHITE people better than anything else. It's just HURTFUL I don't like eating someplace, where it is just spending MY $$ where I'm gonna be treated like a piece of crap And that's exactly what happens. So I don't go there anymore. THIS New year's I went there and I picked up food sometimes I pick up orders. But on this occasion, I wanted to buy food because my health is not good. I take medication. I take IV treatments u kind of get the point. I'm not well & I wanted to order some food. It seemed to be a problem for them. So I NVR got MY food. I try & smile the best I can I try & be friendly & u k, on N.Y's Day the guy back there, he's like, dude. Wait, wait, wait! I still remember that it just it upset me to no in because all I was trying to do was just let him know that I'm being patient. I WON'T go there anymore, & if I were you. To each his own, if I were a person of color I wouldn't go there because, trust me, that isn't all orientals but "these right here" they don't like us. I don't know what the problem is. They probably have some very rude people that have come in, but there are a lot of people of mixed race other race that are very polite & quiet.Maybe we have health issues, & it's hard for us to talk or be able to accomplish what we need to accomplish fast, and we're just trying to just get along. And be decent, but the way that I was treated the way I've been treated after the last incident, which was just not a few couple weeks ago. I won't go there again, I see no reason why to there's no apology they could give me that would make it better, because it would be ""insincere and fake and phony"" there's nothing they could do to make things any better. In my opinion they're taking advantage of people, they talk to non white people like it's an inconveniency, But see you decided to put up a shop there, you decided to come to this country, build yourself up, make a shop, but then you get ticked off with the customers that come in that aren't white. Customers try to be polite just because they don't look white and they're not, you know, Japanese Feel that they're closest to white. These are not white people. These are not Japanese people. These are Chinese people and the Chinese hate the Japanese. But the thing being is that you should at least try to be decent to ALL people bc *U want business & they do have ALOT of carryout. The thing of it is, if U treat the people that come & try to be kind & nice & U act dismissive & like F/U after so many time WE say to hell w it & THEY just don't care which also makes the customer who ordered the food after a while just begin to wonder about U THE STORE!. I won't eat there because they treat me badly. They're rude and I have this feeling that because I'm not white. My food is not what it should be I refuse to go...
Read moreHONEST OPINION: The atmosphere is disgusting and smells like straight mold and mildew. I was looking for a new Chinese food place and made the mistake of stopping here. Man, was it unpleasant! This gelatinous mess was supposed to be teriyaki chicken, and I don't know what we got. It was rock-hard, probably days-old reheated chicken with hard grains of rice. The wonton was disgusting. I tried one noodle, and it was all uncooked dough. The staff was rude and didn't include any sauces. Don't try to be friendly and talk to them; they don't like that, I guess. I should have turned around and left when I smelled the place and called the health department. I don't know who eats here or why, but please do yourself a favor and find edible food that won't potentially poison you. The best part of the meal was the satisfaction I got from throwing it in the trash. Oh, and the fortune cookies. I would like a refund, please, and to warn anyone never to go...
Read moreShout out to China Bay on N. Abbe! After moving back to the area after years out of state, some of our favorite Chinese restaurants just aren't that great anymore. So we ordered from China Bay and it was incredible! The pad thai was amazing! The roast pork lo-mein had so much flavor, and the fried rice was some of the best we'd ever had. My husband had the house fried rice and couldn't even finish it--it was so densely packed! The egg rolls are HUGE! The fried wontons and crab rangoons were light and not greasy at all. Delivery was super fast and the amount of food you get for the price is on point. 10/10 will order again! If you haven't tried them out yet, you really should! Thanks China Bay for saving this mom from...
