Everything in my review must be read under the understanding that there's currently supposed shortages due to the pandemic. This place has been potentially the worst Dunkin' donuts in the area since the day they opened and it fell apart. Just to humor myself I've decided to stop by at various times almost every day for the last week. Of the 6 visits. Twice I was greeted. Both times a brief "hi". My attempts to be friendly were met with silence. Both during busy times and slow. However, I understand they are not obligated to be friendly. To me it makes sense to at least have a friendly greeting. They have had, at every visit, an outage of something.Which I would understand happens in these times. Except it doesn't seem to happen to the DD on abbe. Three of the six visits where there was an outage of something I had my friend who lives by the community college go over and see if they were out there too. At no point for the outages at one store the same at the other. Which tells me either they have different sources for their products or one is much less competent at inventory management. I won't complain about the long drive-thrus because that is pretty standard nowadays. And the ridiculous parking lot layout I believe was out of their hands they were limited by the location that they chose. Now like most people, I hope, I have learned that quality control, especially in regards to order accuracy, is not a priority at most fast food places. So we all know to check and double check our orders before we leave. Notwithstanding errors in the past and just going based on my six most recent visits, I can say that this Dunkin' donuts is actually fairly accurate, only messing up twice out of six orders. And honestly this last time is the reason I'm writing this review. I ordered some snackin bacon and asked if they had maple donuts. They responded by asking "Maple frosted?" I said that will work, completed my order and pull the head. Roughly 10 minutes later I get to the window it opens a hand holding two bags six out the window silently. I grabbed the bags and say thank you. No response so I drive off. I committed the cardinal Dunkin' donuts sin. I didn't double check what I ordered or what I got. Because it turns out instead of maple anything the receipt says vanilla frosted and yet in the bag is a single traditional plain donut. You know the one that nobody buys on purpose and yet they try to give them to you as some sort of weird order filler if you don't choose all 12 of your dozen donuts. The donuts that have no taste and yet are so dry they could soak up a swimming pool. Yeah that donut. The only donut where it is acceptable to not eat it. All other donuts are "well, it's the wrong donut, but it's still a donut, so I'm going to eat it". Not this one.
So long story short. A year ago when they opened it was acceptable for them to have issues here and there. At this point though any failures they have is their own...
Read moreOkay.. I never write reviews. But this was so horrible that I gotta say something. So this was a 45 minute endeavor. So walk with me. It’s gonna be a lot.
So my order was as follows. “Cookie dough frozen coffee” and a “mint chocolate frozen chocolate” pretty simple right? Yeah you’d think. First off. Got to the window. 10 mins I’m handed the wrong drink. (I also don’t get my cookie dough coffee but that’s beside the point) I politely say “I’m sorry but this isn’t what I ordered. This is supposed to be a frozen chocolate” here’s where I made a mistake. I trusted that it was made correctly the second time around. Nope. I’m handed the same thing again. But I drive off. My gf tells me they gave her a frozen coffee again.
So now I’m upset. Long line I’ve had it corrected verbally 3 times now. So Another 20 mins go by. I get to the window. And I tell the woman at the window I have been in this line for over 30 mins at this point. A “mint chocolate frozen chocolate” has now been said 5+ times. Well here’s where our story gets good. Someone else comes to the window and asks what’s wrong with the drink. I state for the unknown time “I asked for a mint chocolate frozen chocolate” this person looks me dead in the face and says “this is frozen” lmao. I lose it at this point. I can’t help but laugh in her face. “Yeah, but it’s a frozen COFFEE, I have told multiple people it’s supposed to be a frozen CHOCOLATE” so I’m asked to pull up to the second window again. Well another 10 mins go by. I have 3 more employees ask me what I want. Followed by what I can only assume was the manager ask me for the 20th time in an hour what I specifically want. Here’s the kicker. She apparently put my order In wrong. That’s cool and all. HOWEVER I interacted with 6 different staff members, and each one of them was told a “mint chocolate frozen chocolate” so much that I now hate those words in order.
I am usually really bad at remembering my partners orders for places. Today I can say I will remember her Dunkin’ order. After saying it 20 times to 6+ people in the span of an hour. But it will DEFINITELY not be here.
One of. If not. The worst experiences I’ve ever had...
Read moreWe ordered a box of coffee, a mixed box of donuts to go. I played and got my box right away. But I was asked to pull forward to wait for the coffee. It took well over 7 minutes. But they were very kind so I tried to just chalk it up to being under staffed. I took the coffee to the group at the voting poll only to discover I hadn't received any coffee creamer nor sugars as it is always provided or at least offered. It wasn't even offered and I was in such a hurry. Plus when I opened the cap so coffee could be poured, the spout had been shoved crooked into the box which led to coffee gathering in it and I burned myself and drenched the box. I tried to find a number for this establishment, and ended up calling another location not far from here. She gave me the last working number they had only to get a recorded message telling me this number no longer worked. So I head the 10 minutes back to this location, head inside where an employee is leaned over the count from behind the counter yelling in to his phone! As I was trying to speak to the 2 employees near the register, this young man talked so lid that we couldn't hear each other. I stood there glaring at this guy and was about to say something but a coworker did instead. He merely looked up at me and sauntered behind the wall! No apology, no anything. Not only are they seemingly well staffed, but there was 3 ladies and 3 guys all standing around. So I told them what happened and the young kid that handed out my coffee apologized and offered a free drink of choice😊. The 1 young lady assembled sugars and creamers in the bag. They gave me plastic knives and they were out of stirrers. I was told their manager had just quit so I hope they find someone to manage this mess. Despite the 2 nice people that took care of me,...
