Gator Lounge — Restaurant in Emmett Charter Township

Went to this bar with my fiancé and a friend, had a pretty good time until the end of the night. When I received the bill I looked it over, and it seemed extremely high. I didn’t have much to drink and my fiancé also doesn’t usually drink too much so I brought it to my fiancé to ask what she had purchased. She looked it over and it turned out the staff had charged several of our friends drinks on our tap. When my fiancé brought it to the bar tenders attention she was extremely rude to my fiancé. When my friend explained to the bar tender that it was a mistake the staff stated that they already ran the card and there was nothing they could do. My friend, upset by their reaction and rudeness wrote on our tab a zero for the tip. The staff became very upset by this and told my friend he needed to leave. When he stepped outside the male bartender and a couple other patrons were in my friends face. When I stepped out I realized my friend was about to get jumped, so I told my friend we needed to leave. I tried to usher him over to the car when one of the guys sucker punched me. I did not see who it was, but the bar tender said it was his friend and he is going to stand up for his friend. The guy who hit me as everything became chaos admitted to my fiancé that he was the one who hit me. She didn’t say anything to me at the time trying to avoid any further drama. Moral of the story, the bar tenders at this place will try and rip you off. And if you don’t pay it that’s ok someone will just sucker punch you when you try to leave.

That is absolutely what happened, I don’t just take time out of my day to complain about staff or any establishment just to do it. I am extremely upset with how we were treated that night, how things were handled, and someone blind side hitting me when I am just trying to leave. Also I don’t feel your response as the owner or admin or whoever you are is...

the bartender was very snooty. She disliked us for her own no doubt irrational and incomprehensible reasons, and so the service deteriorated as the meal progressed. By the end of it, she could hardly bring herself to serve us. Not to mention, she got really offended that I asked for an itemised bill, even though we ended up paying $90. A customer has every right to examine what he pays for, not to mention to have whatever kind of conversation he wishes to, whether or not the bartender likes it or can even comprehend it. So, no thank you, I will not throw away almost a hundred bucks to get attitude from the bartender!! And consider the fact that this review concerns a visit which took place over 12 months ago. Yes, that's how long the unpleasant experience will stick in your mind.

The owner has asked how these problems can be fixed after all this time. The answer is, issue a refund for the entire amount, plus tip. I contacted him regarding this possibility. Since he has not attempted to communicate with me, one can assume that he is merely whinging that the problem "is impossible to fix", and that he is not interested in actually "fixing" it. In other words, he wants to place the blame on the customer, not the bartender or the way the business is run. What exactly is the point of complaining that something is impossible to fix, when it is neither true, nor is he interested in fixing it in the first place? After this, I would give this bar ZERO...

LOOK I’ll be honest I’m not classiest guy but this one really shook me up. Let me start from the beginning so I was gambling at the casino firekeepers yea the big one. I lost big, down maybe $15,000 rough night right? So I hit the bar down the street to relieve some stress and to drink away my losses, I was a few beers deep and thought let me get out of here and asked for the tab. I thought that I was hearing things because after I asked for my tab from the old lady that works as a bar tender said to me and I kid you not “you know these teeth come out right?” My head perked up like a deer in headlights I said excuse me? And she then said “you heard me boy drop them pants and I’ll make the bill disappear” I immediately left and I will never return I seriously would never recommend going here...
