Emmett Chinese Cafe — Restaurant in Emmett

We have been here three times, I still gave them 5 stars. By the way, I try not to give low ratings to hard working small business owners, this restaurant is clearly one of them. Driving through last night and ordered a simple Hot and Sour soup to go ($6.50). Asked for a spoon, answer: "We are out of spoons but you can go to the gas station across the street and they have them." Customer service is a funny thing, the smallest gesture, or, lack there of, can be remembered forever. If my wife hadn't sipped out of it, I definitely would have walked back in and politely returned it. Lastly, as we left town I ran in to Wild Willy's and try to pay for two spoons. We love Emmett Chinese! Great place, great people, great FOOD! It is family owned, and they are such kind and great people. We have been customers for years, and the owners m I ther also worked foe the family for years and is so sweet. They have only been doing take out now since covid. We love how when we go to get the food, the owner and his wife ask how our family is doing. My father had a major health event, and yesterday, when we picked up our order, they stopped everything they were doing to ask, "How is your dad doing?" That's small town and kindness that is missing so many places in the world. Plus, the food is amazing and always the same (in a great way). It's also our kids' favorite! I'm absolutely disappointed. I asked My mother to order a family meal for 4. She got home and there was most definitely not enough food for a family of 4. And to top it all off it cost me $84! The fried shrimp was doughy. The 2 chicken dishes were not very good. The shrimp dish was very very good. However, there was not enough for everyone to have more than a bite.
