The food is pretty consistently good, especially for fast food but orders are also pretty consistently WRONG. When I spend $22.18 for a double bacon cheeseburger, regular fries and regular drink...I expect it to be PERFECT. Twice now my order has been wrong, out of a total of 3 visits to the Emporia location. The first time they left off grilled mushrooms which don't cost extra so I wasn't too upset, but the second time they left BACON off my BACON double cheeseburger, which does cost quite a bit extra and completely changes the taste of the burger as a whole. That's just ridiculous and since it was take out, of course I didn't know until I was already gone. Also, there is dine in seating but during busy times, there are people standing everywhere around, even right next to people eating at tables, which is kind of uncomfortable for people trying to dine in. I think they should have a specific area for people to wait for their order that is separate from the dine in area. Lastly, and this is personal preference I guess, but they have bins of peanuts around so you can help yourself and they provide scoops to use. I was scooping myself some peanuts with the one scoop provided and a lady came over and was apparently too impatient to wait for the scoop and just dug her bare hand right into the peanut bin and grabbed a handful. I know they have shells, but that's so completely unsanitary. I know the owners can't control rude, gross people, but at a minimum they really need a sign that says USE SCOOP, NOT YOUR...
Read moreI normally don't make reviews, unless they are positive, however I dont like being lied to. I was trying to decide between a hotdog or a veggie sandwich w/ cheese. I would have gotten the hotdog if the mushrooms on the sandwich were fresh. When asking about the mushrooms, the gentleman at the counter, told me that they were fresh and not canned. They are not. When I went back to ask the original man about the mushrooms, he told me I had an attitude. According to the manager, whom came out after I complained, they are canned, that come to the restaurant in a bag, then they are grilled. Call me petty, but I don't like being lied to. The manager did remake it for me, without me having to ask. I gave one star for service because of what the man said. My husband's double cheese burger was very good. The fries are very good, and they're are plenty of them for only ordering a regular. The peanut butter shake is very good. The total bill, for a veggie sandwich, a bacon cheeseburger, a regular fry, and a milkshake, came to $38.12, with tax. A bit over priced. When I did get the remake, there were plenty of onions and cheese, that everything fell out of the sandwich, and I had to eat it with a fork. Just a side note for the staff... if you're going to continue to talk about a customer, whom you told to their face that they had an attitude, do it after they leave, and not while they are still in...

Service: 6.2/10 Staff members were notably friendly and the venue was kept clean, creating a welcoming environment.
Food:
Bacon Cheeseburger: 6.9/10 The freshness of the vegetables stood out positively. However, the bacon was on the dry side, albeit crispy. The burger was generally satisfying, but the bun was nothing special, just average.
Bacon Hotdog: 6.1/10 The quality of the hotdog itself was good, delivering a pleasing taste. However, the addition of just a single long strip of green pepper was disappointing. Like the burger, the bacon was dry but maintained a crisp texture.
Fries: 8.1/10 These were standout fries – simple yet executed flawlessly. They were crispy and seasoned well, with an ideal thickness that enhanced the overall experience.
Value: 5.9/10 Pricing seems high for what is essentially fast food, with $11 for a bacon cheeseburger and an additional $4 for fries. Given the overall quality of the hamburger and the average bun, the price point may not fully justify...
