2022-06-26 Tracee, Kylesha, Meagan (manager) and other personnel are the best! Called before arriving, asked if Tracee was working, she was leaving for the day before we arrived, asked Tracee can we order our food or be ready when we arrive, so we can sir down, eat and get back on the road. Tracee said yes and told us to talk to Meagan and she will set up everything for us. Called again several times, was placed on hold, spoke to someone and gave them our order for everyone in our group, we arrived, table for 13 was already setup and we were seated immediately. As the other people in our group arrived, Kylesha greeted us and started bringing out food immediately. Kylesha is really nice and she provided us excellent service!
2019-08-08 Tracee and Jada (being trained by Tracee) were my servers, food and service were excellent as always 2019-05-25 Paula was my server, meatloaf, green beans and corn were good 2019-05-23 saw Tracee as I stood at the door for the dining room and Tracee seated me when I was ready to be seated, meatloaf (my favorite) was amazing as always and so was Tracee and her personable friendly service! Thank you Tracee for being so nice every time I see you! She finally got a chance to meet my wife and our daughter this time. 2019-01-07 Regina was really nice and my food was good! 2018-11-11 asked for Tracee to be my server, seated in the back, Tracee took my order with her hands full, I went to use restroom, came back and Tracee brought my food to the table immediately after I sat down, Tracee, my favorite waitress, was very nice as always, meatloaf corn mashed potatoes gravy and blackberry cobbler with ice cream were all good! 2018-07-22 Tracee, my favorite waitress, was very nice as always meatloaf was not the best this time but the peach cobbler was excellent! 2018-07-20 Kayla was a very nice waitress, meatloaf was the best ever and blackberry cobbler was excellent! 2018-06-08 same meal as last time and it was good, waitress was nice too 2018-05-13 Mother's day! Wow, I stopped here to eat, just me myself and I, parking lot was full when I arrived and after I left, I came in, there was a small line, I was seated immediately at a 2 person table, another group seated behind me immediately after I was seated, their server arrived to their table before my server arrived, my server arrived, I gave her my entire order and my food arrived to my table immediately, it was approximately 6 minutes for me to walk in the restaurant and my food arrive at the table, I am amazed and the food was good. I had meatloaf, corn, green beans, corn bread and then I decided to get the Coca-Cola chocolate cake (with ice cream) and the entire meal was delicious. Highly recommend!
2018-04-05 had breakfast here, parking lot and dining room were not full, so they were not busy, but had to wait around almost 30 minutes to get food, Angela my waitress was thoughtful and brought me some biscuits few minutes before bringing my food to the table

Read moreProbably the worse experience at a Cracker Barrel that I've had. I don't like to complain and have gone to Cracker Barrels in many states and always get the Meatloaf. Yesterday was no different. We stopped in before a show. Waitress took our order and the next time she visited the table was giving us the check and is when I told her vey nicely that I couldn't even finish the meatloaf because every bite was nothing but gristle. The portion was that of a kids meal or I figured it must have been an early bird portion but not what I asked for. And I always get the meatloaf because it is usually delicious. She said she'd talk to the manager and came back and said "the manager said thanks for letting us know". Then handed me the check that had the full dinner charge for the meatloaf. I went to the cashier that asked how things were. I explained to her the situation and that I wouldn't have said anything else if they mistakenly gave me an early bird portion and charged me for that but seeing that they charged me a full dinner portion and the meatloaf was inedible, I told her what the waitress said her manager responded to me with. She went to get the waitress and again, the waitress went to talk to the manager and came back with a new receipt for the early bird price on my meatloaf. I paid, left a tip and went on but keep wondering if I had made a fuss if the manager would have at least come out to speak with me and apologize. I've managed a restaurant for half my life early in my career and hence, didn't want to make a scene with other customers around and didn't demand to speak to the manager but really felt like after two times of the waitress talking to the manager that they should have at least came out and apologized. The cashier was super sweet and just shook her head at the situation and the managers response but you could tell she couldn't do anything about it. Read moreI stopped in to this restaurant a couple of weeks ago to grab some lunch after traveling an hour from Norfolk heading home to South Carolina from a 2 month trip. They were still serving breakfast so I ordered the hash brown casserole. I decided to order to go so I can continue on my 5-6 hour drive. The dining in was busy where customers were told there would be at least a 25-30 minute wait. I figured ordering to go would go faster. As I was waiting, I saw customers check in, wait at least 20 minutes, get seated, order their food, get their food, pay, and leave and I'm still waiting for my order! The cashier went to the kitchen and check for me after waiting 30 minutes and told me the kitchen is getting started. After waiting another 10 minutes, the cashier inquired again. Still no food. The cashier asked me if I wanted a refund and I said yes. I believe the manager came out and asked if I still want the food because they just got the onions they needed to finish the casserole and it would be just a second. I told her I still have a 5 hour drive ahead of me and that I've been waiting for over 45 minutes. They assured me it would be just a second, and would still give me the food and my refund and it should not be long. Finally, an order came out but lo and behold it was someone else's that ordered after I did. The person delivering the food was asked about my order and there seemed to be some miscommunication going on between her and the cashier and no one could answer whether my order was ready. After waiting an hour and seeing a few more dine-in customers who came in after I did eat, pay, and leave, I decided enough was enough and left, still with no food. I stopped over at another restaurant and got my food in less than 5 minutes. Needless to say, I will most likely not stop there again if I'm traveling back to Norfolk. It's unfortunate because I tend to travel quite a bit and prefer to get something from Cracker Barrel rather than from a fast food restaurant.
