We’ve been coming back to Sushi Bar Blue Fin religiously in the last couple of years, because it is honestly the best sushi in town. We’d go here on a lowkey weeknight, a lively weekend, and even celebrated birthdays with a large group! In fact, we were just here tonight! :) There are many reasons why we keep on returning but if I could summarize it in one word, it is authenticity. They have an authentic Japanese dining experience with an impressive dedication to quality. Every piece of sushi is crafted with precision by their highly skilled chefs who clearly and humbly take pride in their work, using only the freshest ingredients to create beautifully balanced flavors. The warm and friendly service makes you feel like family, adding to the welcoming, local atmosphere that sets this spot apart. Whether you’re a sushi connoisseur, or you just came back from Japan nostalgic and craving the same vibe and cuisine, or you’re simply just looking for an exceptional meal, this place delivers an unforgettable experience that keeps us coming back for more. Read moreBlue Fin is one of the best sushi bars in North County. They have a balanced blend of traditional dishes and plenty of their own creations---all of which are delicious. Their ingredients are fantastic while somehow managing to keep prices reasonable.
The staff is friendly and welcoming, while the facility is spotless. There's a lot of "love" put in each of their dishes, so the food comes out at a reasonable pace, but a little patience is necessary. As for the pandemic, they do a fantastic job of packaging their food for takeout. Each takeout order includes all the essential sauces, sides, and accessories.

I'm a big fan of their Happy Roll, Soft-Shell Crab Roll,...

The atmosphere is warm, calm, and very inviting with some great Jazz and Funk music playing. Our order was comprised entirely of sashimi. We got 8 different orders of the 5 pieces of sashimi. Every dish was delicious! The fish was so fresh with incredible flavor. Hard to choose a favorite of what we had, but I really enjoyed the Maguro Tataki and salmon carpaccio. The service was also excellent. We will definitely be coming back here when...
