My recent experience at Bensons Bagels Enfield Location was incredibly disappointing. I placed an online order at 10:34 AM and received a notification that it was "ready for pickup" at 10:50 AM. When I arrived at the store at 10:50 AM and informed the staff that I was there to pick up my order, I was assured that it would be brought out shortly. However, despite waiting until 11:30 AM, my order never materialized. It was only then that I was informed that they were unable to fulfill my order due to a lack of bagels. This was frustrating, to say the least, especially considering that I had been in the store for nearly an hour.
What was most concerning about this experience was the apparent lack of order prioritization and the attitude of the staff. It was evident that the management does not prioritize orders based on their submission time, as evidenced by the fact that customers who ordered in person were served more quickly than those who had placed online orders. Additionally, the staff, particularly the girl working the register, displayed an unprofessional attitude toward customers. It was clear that there was no effective system in place for managing and prioritizing orders as they come in.
Overall, my experience at Bensons Bagels left much to be desired. The lack of order fulfillment, coupled with the unprofessional behavior of the staff, made for a frustrating visit. I hope that the management takes steps to address these issues to ensure a more positive and efficient customer experience...
Read moreI went into this location to purchase two sandwiches, When I got there, I noticed that the young ladies were scratching their head, eating food and playing with their EarPods, I said something to the cashier she went and asked them to go and wash their hands and stop eating. One of the young ladies came over to her after I placed my order and asked her who was complaining, The lady at the register told her that it was me, When they hit me, my food, excuse me, they did not hear me my food. They placed my order on the counter and Walked away. Once I got home, I examined the food. I could not tell if they had done anything to the food or not.. I was not willing to take any chances so I discarded the food. This is sad that a customer cannot go into this instead of shipment location Enfield, Connecticut, and get a sandwich to console their Appetite because the workers there are doing things visible to the customers that is considered Unsanitary, and to think, I gave them a tip🤦🏽♀️ On my way out the door, I noticed the cook. He was rubbing his nose with his wrist. I took the fall to the garbage and threw it away. They will not get any more of my business. I would not even give that to my dog. There are too many ill illnesses going around for people to see...
Read moreGood but could be great. This is a beautiful new bagel shop in a great location on Route 5. This area has needed a place like this for a long time. The inside is nice although kinda sparse and empty. The menu is similar to the Springfield location and the pricing seems comparable. They don't have much for bakery items except some muffins. The case is basically empty. The star of the show, the bagels are sitting way back somewhat in the corner.
The staff are friendly but certainly not in any kind of rush. Don't plan on this being a quick stop, even with no line you will find yourself standing in line and waiting a long time to order and receive your food.
There is no energy to this place. No music. No vibe. The staff are not very motivated to get things done. In my opinion this place needs a manager / supervisor that doesn't leave the register. Someone to get people in and out and expedite the food
Overall this is a good place but there is definitely room to improve. The food is good. The coffee is way too hot just like in Springfield but is good quality. They do have a nice bottled drink selection. I would recommend...
