Food for Life Deli — Restaurant in Englewood Cliffs

Not sure if this is a problem for all locations, but the one inside the Parker Plaza building loves to overcharge. If you buy something one day the next time you buy the same thing the price will be higher. Not sure what sales tax rules they follow but it sure is way higher than allowed by the State of NJ. If you ever order there watch the lady at the register (who is always on the phone) punch in the price and then hit the magic register button that skyrockets the amount you will pay for your item(s). The menu is pretty extensive, but their prices are high for what they give you and the area.

Also, I their definition of chopped is a little lacking. More like cut. Slices of bacon cut in half, the egg and avocado plopped on top of the "chopped" salad uncut and the lettuce was cut once, so it's more like long strips than actually chopped. When I asked if they could chop the egg and avocado too, I got attitude. And extra dressing must be subjective, because it appears that "extra" means "barely any."

Great fresh food daily , the owners and workers are not the nicest , and that to me is a big deal . I don't mind higher prices for good fresh food ! But the least you can do as a business, is make people feel good about giving you, their hard earned money . Location is great , and very clean , prices are a bit high.
