Ever since krystal's shut down then Sam's seafood opened up. I never went to Sam's, well tonight on October 8th between 9:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. I went over to Sam's just to give it a try for the first time.
And to be honest I'm not sure if I'm sick from the food or just sick from the thought of the gut-wrenching disgusting this that I tried.
I'm not one to write reviews and this is the honest truth..... Ordering from the gentleman I couldn't hardly understand him which isn't his fault it may be my fault but I couldn't understand anything you was asking so I pulled up to the first window to be able to order. My passenger ordered the oysters the calamari and french fries meal on both of them oysters meal and calamari meal. I ordered the chicken Philly.
On the chicken Philly I just ordered the sandwich nothing else.
From what my passenger said the fried oysters they were okay they were good either one the french fries were good good Lord I hope he can mess up french fries.
We never got the calamari when we left we checked our bags and then turned around drove all the way back and the guy said well I never charged you for the calamari or that meal that you wanted with the calamari.
That shot up my suspicion right away so he knew what we ordered.
So we left then I opened up my chicken Philly. It looked delicious as I'm opening it up under the light of a vehicle so I poured the hot sauce on it that they gave us and close it up and I took three bites out of this thing.
I was pulling the antennas or their feelers out of my mouth like floss for whatever reason on a chicken Philly they pretended like they put shrimp in it.
It was literally the exoskeleton leftover from the shrimp there was no shrimp meat in it there was their antennas their eyeballs and then the shell left from you might as well say a gutted shrimp.
I didn't even ask for any kind of shrimp or sea food I just asked for a chicken Philly.
Little did I know I was in Surprise for shrimp exoskeleton guts antennas and everything that's trash from a shrimp. The meat was terrible.
I'll never ever eat there again I don't know if they specialize in a certain meal or something that maybe it's worth trying like let's say french fries and hush puppies because I'm pretty sure you can't really mess up french fries or hush puppies.
But the meal that I had from my passenger of seafood and then my actual meal of a Philly.
I will never eat there again or try...
Read moreI ordered the chicken wings and Scampi garlic shrimp. Red beans and rice and veggies The food took a while to come out but they cook it fresh so I was very happy about that. Everything was hot and fresh and the server was very pleasant.
The shrimp was phenomenal! Maybe not enough but very tasty, the seasoning was plentiful and delicious
The red beans and rice were amazing, I used the remaining scampi sauce to pour on my rice and veggies
The side of veggies were steamed perfectly and sauced well.
The garlic Parmesan chicken wings were very disappointing, it seemed as if they took wings, cooked them then added seasoning.
Now the reason for the 3 stars is because of the chicken and the packing the styrofoam containers were not even strong enough to hold the food and fell apart as I tried to take them out of the bag. The chicken and garlic Parmesan sauce went everywhere and all the wings ended up at the...
Read moreMy wife and I have NEVER been disappointed, whether at drive-through or inside. Miriam, Marcus and Susan are all superbly professional, polite, and refreshingly friendly. They make you feel both welcome and appreciated. Portions are very well-sized. Today: shrimp & fish, fried...served hot! Sides: rice & beans, fries, onion rings; all served hot. And...grilled shrimp. Served... HOT! How refreshing, welcome and appreciated from a "fast food" restaurant. We are and will continue to be returning customers. Very strongly recommend this place.
NOTE: Sam's is not a "fast food" restaurant by definition, i.e., all their food is made to order, so...your fried or grilled dishes will take longer than McD's 2 minutes 30 seconds. Benefit?...it's piping...
