On 8/7/18 around 6pm my family accompanied by four other families visited the restaurant. The power was out in our neighborhood so we decided to enjoy dinner out. Although I was reluctant to suggest this location based on previous experiences it was the closest restaurant with the most room. Upon arrival there was only six of us. We informed the server that the rest would be trickling in throughout the evening. The server seemed 100% irritated that he was having to wait on us. What the server didn't understand is we are a very close group of friends and we frequent many different restaurants together and we have an amazing system to make it easy on whoever waits on us. This did not matter to him. From the get go it took over 15 minutes to get our drinks. Keep in mind there was only six of us at this point. Not only did it take this long to get drinks the server forgot drinks for 2 people at the table. When he was reminded about the drinks he stormed off taking his time to return. As we were not in any kind of hurry we just rolled with it. We then ordered a few appetizers and some more drinks. One of the members of the party asked the waiter to put the first round of drinks on his bill because he wanted to buy a round for another member who's birthday it was. This would later would turn out to be a huge nightmare. About now a few more people have shown up and we are ready to order dinner. We informed the waiter of our system. Anyone ordering will give him a name and that's who's bill you put the order under. It couldn't be any easier. Throughout the night different family members were showing up placing orders under the name of which they anticipate the order would go under. During this time it was next to impossible to get the waiters attention. He was arbitrarily ignoring or group. This is beyond unfortunate as we understand what it takes to service a group of our size. That being said we take very good care of our servers. It is now time to settle up and this is where the real nightmare begins. We come to find out that the server has been taking orders not separating them at all. The initial drink order that I mentioned showed up with every drink ordered for the night to include appetizers and desserts. This turned what was supposed to be a nice gesture into an extreme headache as we had to figure out who drank what. Next we try to figure out the dinner orders. Another huge mess. When we try to address these situation with the server he became very defensive and blamed it on our group "for just showing up without a reservation" as he put it so politely. Some members had to make multiple transactions on their cards to settle up all the bills that came to the table. If this was the first time we experienced this kind of service here I would not be writing this. As I mentioned before this was the third time we received service like this at this location. Unless management does something drastic myself and everyone that accompanied us will not be back. This is very unfortunate as we all enjoy the food and it is very close to home. I would be more than happy to meet with anyone who makes decisions in this establishment to discuss this further as this type of behaviour can...
Read moreI got food poisoning from eating raw chicken. It was dark in the bar and I thought it looked a little pink but figured it was the lighting. I got extremely ill that night and all the next day. When I cut open my leftover chicken it was completely raw and pink in the middle. That was definitely the worst part of my dining experience, but it wasn't the only part. Went with a group of 4 on a Sunday afternoon. We ordered 2 burgers, a turkey burger, and I ordered off the healthy menu the chicken breasts with brown rice. The 3 burgers came out without my chicken. One burger was fine, one we had asked for no cheese but it was on it, and another came without the barbecue sauce and with a package of apple slices (which was almost a month expired) instead of baked chips. We brought this to our waitresses attention, she apologized and felt the need to bring out the ticket to show us she put it in right, that it was the kitchens fault (probably because she didn't want her tip to be affected). The burger with the cheese on it came back, with nothing on it! They took off all the condiments and the bacon. Still no barbecue sauce, baked chips, or my chicken. We sent it back, and it was brought back again however we noticed that they had just scraped the cheese off the original burger and gave it back. At this point the burger had been messed up 3 times and we still didn't have barbecue sauce, baked chips, or my chicken. We went to get the manager to explain what was going on, and the two burgers were done correctly, however I still had no chicken. After complaining again they promptly brought it out, raw! I guess that is what you get for complaining about how long food was taking, but it had been an hour which should have been plenty of time to cook chicken. The food actually tasted decent which is why it is disappointing we will never go back. It isn't worth the risk of food poisoning and the spotty and inconsistent service. Though it was not our servers fault that the kitchen kept screwing up, she did start avoiding us when things went south to the point where we didn't have beverages either. I tried calling 3 times before getting a hold of Scott, the manager who was on duty that day. When I told him I got food poisoning from the chicken he acted like it was my fault for not noticing it was under cooked and eating it. He also told me I should have called sooner. When I told him I had tried calling multiple times he said it was impossible as he had been there and available every day. He was extremely rude and wouldn't even apologize. He said he would make sure the kitchen cooks the chicken thoroughly next time. I won't...
Read moreWe went here for lunch a few weeks ago. Our server was amazing! There were about four other parties of two seated around us and she was on the spot with taking our orders, chatting with us, returning to check on us regularly and making us feel at home. The food was also awesome, had a ribeye worthy of a chophouse, mom had chicken tenders and we were surprised at how good the blue cheese and bbq sauce were. Just great all around.
We decided to bring a group back for dinner a couple weeks later. Huge mistake. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a cloud of cigarette smoke. We sat towards the back where groups sit, the table configuration made socializing nearly impossible. The place was practically empty except for a couple tables. We ordered salad. My father had to ask for his salad when we were all in the middle of ours. When he got it, his Caesar Salad had no dressing. We got our food and out of twelve or so people, only the pot roast folks liked their food. My chicken was just warm, my gravy was not even warm, my French fries tasted like they’d been sitting out too long. The waiter was rarely seen. We were constantly having to ask another waiter to get him. He behaved as if he just walked in off the street and started serving. He gave a bottle of mayonnaise to my mom when she got her food and it sat there the entire time we were there (about two hours). This is UNSAFE! Finally, we waited for our check. That took about twenty minutes to get after we finished eating and credit cards were visible on the table, since we were rarely seeing our waiter, we had to ask a different waiter to get him. As we had boxed our leftovers by this time, they had to be discarded because the check process took about a half hour.
Suggestions: Serve mayo in a small cup. Train dinner waiters (perhaps have your lunch servers train them) Have coffee available for dinner. Guests will not order dessert if there is no coffee available (you just will never know that’s what happened) Make sure everyone has taken and passed a servsafe exam. Serve all food fresh and hot
Take care, we don’t...
