Don Tortaco Mexican Grill #14 — Restaurant in Nevada

If I were to compare this to any other place then that place would be Roberto's and sadly enough, Don Tortaco is not the winner. The food truly lacks flavor unless it's covered in some type of sauce and it's still missing the mark!. I actually got the opportunity to try more than a few things here because of our group and the various types of meals and single items ordered. I tried the Carne Asada fries and they were covered in way too much refried beans and sour cream, but really not much of anything else. The Carne Asada is completely flavorless!! Tried the cheese enchiladas and they were actually good, except for when the sauce cooled off it started to thicken. Tried some cheese casadilla and chicken casadilla and the ultimate winner was the chicken casadilla because it had something other than cheese on it. The Bean and cheese burrito is exactly what you get but mostly beans and a lot of tortilla. The wait for the food was a lot longer than our appetite because most of it just ended up in the trash. Oh Yeah, Don Tortaco has a mystery ( surcharge ) that they add to every single purchase and nobody has a real honest answer for what it was for!!. Would I recommend eating here, if you're really, really hungry and nothing else is open, then yes. It looks good, but you can make anything...

Only giving one star because of the graveyard employee. This is not the first time he has been rude. He always has an attitude and has very poor customer service. Ordered a carne Asada plate and when he asked if I wanted corn or flour tortillas I told him I didn’t need the tortillas, but if I could just get a side order of chips. He said no I can’t change it out. I told him it was okay and that I will pay for it, but he could leave the tortillas out.(they would have gone to waste) I go to pay and as he gives me my food he starts saying how I have no manners and that it’s not about money and he goes on and on. It made no sense how I was reuse for simply wanting to pay for chips and not get tortillas. I work as a waitress so I am always kind and patience when I go to eat. He then shut the window without giving me my drink and ignored me as I tried to get his attention. When he came back to the window I asked for the drink I paid for amd he gave it to me and shut the window without saying anything. Didn’t have a chance to ask for sauce, napkins or anything. Only time I ever have an issue with this place is when the graveyard guy is there. He definitely needs better customer service. I am not the only customer who has left a negative...

I just came here tonight and ordered the chicken enchilada combo. I asked for green sauce, and the lady working their tonight said they do not have green sauce, only red sauce, and she asked if I wanted the red sauce. I said no. She questioned me, "You do not want the red sauce? I told her no. It's not a big deal. The gentleman at the pickup window was very kind. Now, this is where im upset with this place. It's been a long day. im extremely hungry. I wanted to grab something quick to eat and head home, which I did. As I get home to open my meal from Din Tortaco, my chicken enchiladas have absolutely no chicken at all they are just stuffed with cheese WOW!!! absolutely unacceptable. You guys should be ashamed of stuffing my enchiladas with nothing but cheese and no meat that I paid for. Definitely read the reviews before you eat here. After I read the reviews, I'm probably better off not eating any of their food anyway from the many complaints they have.
