I don’t leave bad reviews often and I try and give lots of grace to small mom and pop food trucks but after 6 attempts of going and getting food here they were closed for one reason or another. There is barely any communication regarding emergencies that cause a closure and their hrs of operation never aligns with when they are actually open or closed Their phone is offline and honestly I’m not even sure if they are still in business. At least make a vm message with date and time stating you’re closed so people can know ahead of time. The food is great, it really is, that’s why I’ve been trying to go here, but the lack of communication, the constant closures, and minimal communication with customers about food availability is a huge let down. I think they lost my business for good this time, I’m just tired of being disappointed with more closures than opening hrs at this point which is really sad, because if they would just find a better way to let people know when they are open vs closed and would fix their hrs of operation it would make so...
Read moreExcellent Greek food and amazing hospitality! Had an absolutely fantastic experience at Athenas! The gyros were outstanding - perfectly seasoned meat, fresh vegetables, and that authentic Greek flavor that hits the spot every time. What really made our visit special though were the owners/managers. They were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and we ended up having a great conversation with them. They gave us some excellent recommendations for things to do around Mount Rainier, which was exactly what we needed as visitors to the area. It's rare to find a place where both the food and the people make you feel so welcome. The authentic Greek atmosphere combined with genuine hospitality made this meal memorable. Will definitely be back when we're in the area again! Highly recommend for anyone looking for great Greek food and a warm, friendly...
Read more1/7/2023 was our first time at Athenas under their new ownership. The new owners were working and cooking up some great food. We have always enjoyed Athenas, however under their new owners the fries are even crispier and hold up better under the toppings in the Gyro fries. First time getting onion rings. They are the only place I'm aware of in the area with fresh beer battered onion rings. They are a little spendy, but worth it. I'll take a photo next time as we inhaled them in the car, but definitely the best around. I threw the leftover Gyro Fries in a pan the next morning, fried them up with a couple of eggs on top and it was...
