A pretty good burger---the flavors and textures were all there. I feel like they skimped on the meat & cheese a little. The patty is smaller than the bun but a noticeable margin---I had a couple bites with no meat.
I was very disappointed that they don't do fries, but I'm not docking them for that. I was just sad.
If I'm being picky, I was a little disappointed with the service. I ordered online for pick-up, and the website said it would be ready in 30-35 minutes, but then I got a text 10 minutes later saying my order was ready. Normally, my food being ready faster would be a good thing, but b/c they told me I had half-an-hour, I had planned my tasks around that time, which meant by the time I got there, my soda was half-flat and my food had been chilling for 15 minutes. It's my opinion that, if the food gets done early, they need to keep it warm for me, since they're the ones not keeping to the advertised timeline.
Also, my wife and I both felt like it was just a touch over-priced, especially given the small amount of meat and cheese, as I mentioned.
This may all sound negative, but it really was a decent burger. It's just that all the things I said above do mean that it has not become a "oh, let's eat there again!" place for us. I'm sure we'll try it again, someday, to see if they've...
Read moreWe stopped here for lunch after a family mountain biking outing in the area. I've heard good things and wanted to give it a try. It was great, certainly lived up to the hype.
The atmosphere is clean, vibrant and inviting. It's casual, but in a warm, cozy way... Not like fast food casual. We loved the photography art on the walls which is all 'harvest' themed.
Between all of us, we tried several soups, salads and a couple of burgers - topped off with a slice of raspberry cheesecake to share.
It was pretty clear that they have a focus on quality, fresh ingredients. The colors in the salad were vibrant and tasted fresh from the garden. The soups were equally delicious.
I'm a burger guy, and I very much enjoyed the Portobello Swiss burger. The bun tasted homemade - super soft yet held together well. The meat was fresh and juicy and cooked perfectly. There was a hint of smokey flavor that went well with the mushrooms.
The raspberry cheesecake was devoured within moments of delivery, and the raspberry topping tasted fresh, not frozen. Very yummy.
Service was great and friendly. Plenty of seating when we were there. Prices seemed very reasonable by today's standards. Overall I think they have a great thing going here and I wish them the best in their venture. We'll be back...
Read moreAfter reading the other reviews, it appears waiting a long time for your food is normal here . And I’m sure the owner will respond with some snarky response . I do not care lol I am the only customer in the store. It is 2:35 on a Tuesday july 8th. It is taking UNUSUALLY long for a burger. I get that the food has to cook and it’s fresh here, I totally understand that. But the time that had passed, you could’ve made two burgers Haha. I didn’t order it well done either. I had an appointment I had to be to and I thought since they weren’t busy, they could accommodate me . When i asked what was taking so long the chef walked out and glared at me lol. Smart move. So unprofessional, judging by his earrings and tattoos that’s his personality. He was trying to clock out and make food for himself to be clear . My food was a second priority to him . I’ve had two bad experiences here. I definitely won’t be coming back, which is disappointing because the food is good but the people who work here just do not have it together. My waiter was sweet but clearly lacked even basic conflict resolution skills . To the angry chef who hates his job, you should probably find work outside customer...
