Read moreCould use to be a more in-tune with feng shui, the space itself feels... cold... I am used to Gajurat-style curries, so I wasn't sure what to expect from Thai. As far as menu is concerned, it's pretty basic. It's very sweet. I didn't dislike it, but if you prefer savory, it will not be your thing. The rice was cooked well, a bit 'flaky' for my preference, but still well done. The vegetables were quite fresh and everything was well cooked. The tofu was good.
The 'hot tea' the server said was jasmine tea was a dreadfully cheap black tea. Like Lipton or something. That being said, the tea pot was mostly clean except I could tell they didn't clean the inside of spout very well. The Thai milk tea was very sweet, and though it had that same cheap black tea, it was pretty good. Coming from someone who doesn't like sweet teas, that's a compliment. Overall, not bad and worth a try if you've been thinking about it. I know I'll likely come back to try the desserts. They're moderately priced, the bathrooms are clean, and the...
Read moreThai food is one of our favorite foods and we were excited to try a new restaurant in the area. We tried 3 dishes: chicken satay, thai crispy basil with fried rice, and pad thai. The chicken satay was ok (slightly overcooked & dry) and served sliced/chopped into small pieces rather than on a traditional wooden skewer. The peanut sauce was good. The thai crispy basil was burnt and we sent it back (worst thai dish we’ve ever been served), and the fried rice side was overcooked and mushy. Having cooked in a restaurant, I was surprised they actually sent the crispy basil dish out (it looked charred and was obviously burnt). The pad thai was a bit salty but overall pretty good (would order it again). Service was really good, and they didn't charge for the dish we didn't eat and sent back. I should have taken a photo; the dish didn't look like the other photos posted...
