The food and the service was not very good. The waitress we had was very nice, but it was obvious that there were some personal problems with the cook, and although the honesty was appreciated and almost comical, it was not professional. We were denied a certain item on the menu (simple pancakes) due to âthe cook just not wanting to cook it today as he is in a bad mood.â My table ordered breakfast, combos, and the biscuits and gravy had no flavor, and were very soggy. The eggs were cold as soon as they were set down on my table. The apple juice (in the picture) had specks of something in it, as I took a couple drinks and poured it out to see the specks better. I could not finish my food, and only took a couple of bites. The toast/fresh toast was good, but itâs hard to mess up toast. The food came out really quickly, and that was nice. Also, the receipt was hand written, and that wouldnât be bad if I could actually read it. There was no total, and I had to add it up myself. The $ amounts werenât in the lines, it was hard to tell which was a dollar or cent value. There were also no COVID-19 guidelines being followed, and only one waitress had a mask on. I sure hope the cook had one on too. These guidelines are a big deal to keeping the community healthy, and it did not feel as clean as it should have. That one waitress with a mask was impressive, and being stern but respectful to a very disrespectful customer who was getting impatient.I definitely think that this establishment can work on some things, but for the mean time, I will not...
Read moreWe quit coming in because the cooks just can't understand what a plain burger is. Pickles only. I still get mayo or cheese on it and we have tried at least 15 different times and that's not exaggerated.......OK 3 yes later....new owners...husband talked me coming in....nothing has changed.....nothing! Ordered a plain dry burger. It came with butter and mayo on the bun and lettuce and tomato. Why is it so hard to make a dry plain burger...had to send it back again. And maybe give some hashbrowns out instead of about 4 bites...that's three times on the hb's. I don't understand this at all. AGAIN GIVE IT 1 MORE TRY. NEVER NEVER AGAIN! WE ARE SENIORS AND LEFT HUNGRY. 50.00 FOR BREAKFAST, YOU CAN SEE THROUGH THE HAM, AND LITERALLY 5 BITES OF HASHBROWNS, THIS IS NOT AN EXAGGERATION. 1 PIECE OF TOAST! WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH THE RESTAURANTS THESE DAYS. NEVER GET OUR BUSINESS AGAIN and don't recommend it to anyone else. Nice answer, I don't find it comical at all. Some people have allergies and have reasons for how they order. Maybe train your cooks to read the tickets more carefully or to read at all. And we certainly won't find your place ever again. It's lost. So...
Read moreI'm very disappointed in the food there. I've been coming to Ephrata for along time and always wanted to try it. First off it was suppose to be 6$ well drink I guess the waitress doesn't know between well drinks and not. So I ended up paying for alittle rock 14$. But ok. I ordered a Swiss cheese dip sandwich. Thinking it came with Ah juice. The meal came with meat and onion on a dry bun. Again asked the waitress where the Ah juice was she it didn't come with it. So then I showed her on the menu it did and she blamed the cook. Now mind you I have been a waitress my whole life and if one of my customers were not happy I would either give a discount on the meal or give there meal free. So as disappointing as it is. We will not be...
