Subway — Restaurant in Epsom

Sept 2023. This is more a review on the owner/ manager. For months now there has been only one person on duty on the weekends. There is no way that one person can run a Subway alone. It's impossible for them to keep up. This shows in errors, which I can't even really blame the person for because, again, it's impossible to be that busy and get it all correct. Until management gets more employees, I suggest NOT ordering online. Stand there and order. All 3 of our recent online orders were incorrect on basic levels, like the wrong meat. And don't bother to do curbside. There is no way for that one person to run it out to the car. I sat and tried to call in for 15 min with no answer and finally got my wheelchair out to go get the food. The people who work at this location really need support from the ownership, who, if they cannot hire more people, should be in the shop themselves doing the job. That is how you run a business, not the mess they have going on there now. I can't even be mad the subs are wrong, I have such pity for the workers. Until the get more help, they should suspend...

We have stopped at the subway a few times because it's convenient. Each time we've stopped we've noticed that there's typically only one person working. When I stop tonight there was only one person however it was not busy. When the person was making the subs he just dumped lettuce on half of it. Then I asked for spinach he took a handful and he basically dumped it on top so it went all over. When I asked for tomatoes he only put 3 on a foot long sub so I asked for more. We also got a meatball sub and he barely put any sauce on it. You either need to train staff better or hire people who will do the job. Yes, it's a Subway. Yes, it's a chain. But my experiences at this Subway have made me feel like I'm at a mom and pop shop. The staff is young but incredibly friendly and I wish that every place that hires young workers could find such talent. Last night, we got there to pick up an online order after they clearly had just experienced a rush and while our food wasn't quite ready, I couldn't have been happier by the attentive demeanor of the sandwich artist. Yes, I'm calling them a sandwich artist because I've never had such delicious bacon on a sub before. I've been in with my 3-year-old multiple times and they always include him in the conversation as well.
