Bill's Bakery — Restaurant in Erie

I stopped by 30 mins before closing. My first impression when I was entering the bakery... I thought it was out if business. It's because the shelves were pretty much empty. As it turned out, their baked goods, including their pepperoni rolls in various sizes, rolls, and variety of bread were sold out! There were some bread left when I arrived. Chris, the owner, was so welcoming and inform. He shared the story of the bakery, and I enjoyed my visit very much. I was blessed to get to try his Italian Bread. Oh my goodness! The crust was crispy and has this tasty flavor. The center of the bread was so soft. A perfect combination. I was disappointed that he doesn't sell Pierogies in the Summer time. I was looking forward to trying them after reading the reviews. I told Chris that I can't get up that early... With their hours being 9-1. He said that I can call and reserve the pepperoni rolls. That I plan in doing. I'm vacationing in the area, and I told him that I really want to try his pepperoni rolls before I head home. Chris was so fun to talk to. He even came out to my car to see my pups, my travel buddies. 🐕🐕🚗 I can't wait to go back tomorrow to get myself some pepperoni rolls... Even though I avoid eating pork and beef... I'm making an exception. 😁😋 I notice the prices are displayed on the wall. Wow! Comparing to Northern VA prices, his prices are soooo low and affordable. 💲... I went back the next day after calling Chris to save some Pepperoni Rolls for me. They are delicious! So much pepperoni and the bread/rolls are so soft, as though they just came out if the oven. I got another loaf of Italian Bread, and it was so soft. I ended up feeding the geese and their babies, because they looked hungry. I might go back in the morning on my way home and on pick up another loaf and more pepperoni rolls for my trip home. 😋 I can't believe how low...

Bill's Bakery is an absolute gem in Erie, PA! Their pepperoni bread and rolls are unmatched, and their Italian bread is simply divine. Was visiting Erie from out of state and heard about this little bakery from some locals. SO glad we did! The gentleman running the storefront was so kind and though they were sold out of most things by the time I got there, (about 10am and they close at 1pm) I wasn't disappointed. I picked up some pepperoni bread and it is absolutely delicious. The perfect balance, not to mention it is HUGE and could last one person at least a week! Perfect bake! I am in love with this bakery and definitely intend to come back next time...
