Dee's Delicatessen — Restaurant in Erie

They have great food but they lost me as a customer as of this morning..they have always taken there phone off the hook when they get busy so customers can't place orders over the phone.. this has been happening before covid hit and they were short staffed. So yesterday my place of employment wanted to order them for lunch for delivery and surprise surprise they took there phone off the hook. So I nicely went to there Facebook page and kindly asked them that we wanted to order food for delivery and to please put the phone back on. This morning after 24 hours I got response who I think was one of the owners calling my message ridiculous and was straight up rude and accusing me of harassment.. idk when kindly asking for someone to turn there phone on to place an order was harassment but they need better customer service. They lost me and my place of employment...

Our company has had two bad experiences with customer service. Once we called for delivery and you could hear someone in the back ground complaining about having to deliver to us two days in a row. Our company is only about 5 mintues from their store.

Another time we ordered and they said it would be delivered by 12:15, we called at 12:30 and owner answered and said "look out the freaking window, I have three delivery drivers that are over 60 years old and once one of them gets here that’s when the food will be sent out. Now do I want the food or do I want to be put on the "list"."

Horrible customer...

Absolutely my fav Sammich shop in Erie! I've had almost the whole menu and never had a bad order. The parking stinks but that's the only criticism I can give. The Cowboy is one of my top picks and the Pot Roast sandwich is their best kept secret... it's simply addictive and cooked with love, you'll be dreaming about it! Dee has always been so gracious and kind and in business a long time for great reasons. I consider this a Must Stop place... the Cheers of sandwich shops. Thanks for being a bright spot in this...
