The most delicious & unusual offerings. We fell in love with the Hot Chicken Pickle Pizza a few years ago while I accompanied my husband in Dublin, Ohio, on a business trip. Hands down the best pizza we've ever had!
Just recently we were on a business trip in Erie, PA, staying at the Bayfront Marriott. Rather than choosing from a vast array of very popular restaurants surrounding the hotel, we chose take out from Donatos! I could have ordered online but chose to call to order to make sure I was ordering exactly the pizza we loved. There were several locations in Erie. The closest to the Bayfront hotels was only 2 miles away. Upon calling, a very cheery sounding guy answered. I told him how psyched I was there was Donato's in Erie & it had been almost two years since I had the hot chicken pizza. He was very helpful & confirmed that no changes were made to the hot chicken pizza. He was so friendly that he kindly told me he would personally make sure it was extra perfect! FIVE star customer service! My husband arrived back at the hotel with the most delicious pizza that was just as perfect as it was two years ago! We live about about 1 &1/2 hours south of Erie. A distance we will gladly be driving very soon to enjoy Donatos offerings! Although we love the hot chicken pickle pizza, we just might have to give the other pizza's a...
Read moreHello, I ordered a large pizza yesterday and was disappointed with my experience. We ordered a large vegetarian pizza, I confirmed with the lady on the phone twice that the pizza would be a large. The pizza came and was sadly 11 inches in diameter, the box it came in was 12 inches (see photo attached below). The website and advertising says the pizza is 13.5 inches. After doing some quick research, the standard large pizza is 14 inches, and the standard medium size pizza is 12 inches. Receiving an 11 inch pizza, which is smaller than the standard size medium pizza was very disappointing. If the lady on the phone had said the pizzas were not large we would have ordered two. Overall, very disappointed that the pizza was only 11 inches as seen in the photo and not 13.5 inches as advertised. We were also very disappointed in the customer service. When entered we were not greeted at all nor any other customers who entered after us. The girls who were serving us were quiet rude and ignoring us. We were told the pizza would be ready in 20-30 minutes when it actually took 45 minutes. We also did not see the girls working sanitizing or washing their hands after using the cash register. During a pandemic this is very concerning. I look forward to hearing...
Read moreAvoid this place. Overpriced pizza! $9 for a 7inch pizza that will barely fill a kid.
The base tastes like a cracker instead of a pizza base. So disappointing.
I asked if they have a regular pizza base and the staff told me all they have are Famous thin and a really thick crust which is 1 inch thick focaccia bread like party cut.
But I see they have a regular hand tossed option on the website which they deliberately not mention to make you buy more thin crust ones to fill you.
Weirdest ingredients on pizza. Balsamic on a Margherita, cinnamon on Hawaiian.
The Magherita doesn’t show Balsamic on their website but this store location does.
The Veggy sub had no Italian dressing. Felt like I was eating raw plain veggies.
The garlic Asiago bread has no garlic flavour at all. The dipping sauce stinks! Sugary sweet, fermented smell and was gone bad. Probably added balsamic syrup to this too. Apparently that’s how they make it there.
You gotta listen to your customers and have a Generic menu. Leave the whacky ingredients out as optional toppings.
Really need to work on your menu, prices and having mainstream options for the majority of us. And your thin crust is not really Famous!...
