Decided to finally give them a try today and was disappointed, I would've gave them a 1 star but the flavor was not bad it was just super plain! Got lo main noodles and rice and that's all that come out, no onions, no egg, no vegetables, cabbage or anything in either one of them like you would expect from fried rice and lo main! Just plain rice and super thick lo main noodles. For the price it was just sad, would highly recommend for them to add some of what I mentioned to both of those dishes!

The only asian fusion place in Erwin and they do a pretty good job. Atmosphere is small town diner with an Asian motif and an excellent radio station. Order up front and they bring it out to you. It’s Hibachi - just Hibachi, and they do a good job of it. Food is fresh, made to order, and there is a lot of it. Service is good for what it is - they take your order and just bring it out to you. Self service on drinks.

Both the steak and the shrimp were cooked very well. Tender rice and delicious yaki sauce. Plenty of mushrooms which we love. Will be back soon!

Okay, to start my husband and I decided to try this place because of the recommendation of a friend and their reviews. Upon pulling into the parking lot we both wondered what kind of business occupied this space in the past because honestly, from the outside it looks like an old laundry mat; we questioned our choice to try it out just on the curb appeal alone but decided to give it a try. When we stepped through the front door it was obvious there wasn't a lot of pride in this business. It was drab, the trash can was stuffed so full of to go trays the lid wouldn't shut, and the woman who took our order was wearing pajama pants. Again, we overlooked these things because the food was supposed to be so awesome. We placed our order and were handed cups for our drinks. I got tea, which was so-so but incredibly sweet, and my wife was getting a fountain drink. My wife filled her cup with ice and thankfully looked in the cup before dispensing anything into it because a stink bug was in her ice. She informed the woman behind the counter and was given a new cup, but when she tried to use the machine it wouldn't work. I tried to help her thinking maybe the button was messed up and could not help but notice how sticky the soda dispensers were; it didn't seem like they had been broken down for cleaning in a long while. Moving on, we both ordered the same thing; hibachi chicken and rice. We sat down in the dining area and waited for our food and while waiting noticed the strong smell of burnt meat; like an unsavory charred smell. When we received our food, unbeknownst to us, we were served in typical styrofoam to-go containers (maybe they don't want customers to sit and stay, I don't know). The portions were small, the chicken was bland, and the yum-yum sauce was not so yum-yum. Neither of us finished our meals and pushed our containers into an already stuffed dining room trash can. The real kicker was that within 30 minutes both of us had horrible indigestion. I don't know how long ago the newspaper article on the wall which touted such a rave review was published, but it definitely needs reconsidered. Maybe it was a bad day for them, maybe not, I honestly don't think so, but we will never return again. This is what Kitchen Nightmares are made of.

I also ordered an eggroll, and again based on a review, but it...

Good food at a good price.

We are repeat customers and choose to eat here for tonight for our Valentine's Day dinner. I had the Hibachi Steak, and hubby had the Hibachi Chicken. This family-owned business has a limited but delicious selection of entrees, salads, and sides. 2025 entree prices start at just under $8 and go up depending on the number of meats you add. We each had a single meat, so our entrees were in the "under $8" category. The meal comes with fried rice, mushrooms, and your choice of sweet carrots or zucchini & onions. You can add an egg roll for a couple of bucks extra, and I'd recommend it because they've got delicious egg rolls.

The dining room seats a decent number of people without crowding tables together. The food is served in Styrofoam to-go trays, but portion sizes are generous. I was barely able to finish my Hibachi Steak dinner. Drinks are self-serve, and the Southern iced tea is really good--strong and sweet.

The atmosphere is what you would expect for this type of restaurant, and that's okay to me. It's not fancy, romantic, or themed. It's simply a good place where locals eat and maybe chat with friends and neighbors at other tables.

In fact, there are probably not many out of towners who even know where Hibachi House is located. The fact that the food is good enough to keep the locals coming back time and again (they stay busy) should be enough of a reason to at least give them a try if you're...

I was just glancing at the business hours and menu, but then I saw the review that Karen( I mean Angela, cough cough)made. It honestly sounds like youre rich, entitled, and have UNGODLY high standards. The place is an old building, and yes the decor is lacking, but I've NEVER had an issue with cleanliness, the drink machine, trash,or flavor of my food. Never had an issue with portions, and I always get way too much in that container. So much that I have to use one order for two meals. My daughter and I split mine, and the chicken steak and shrimp always have a ton of meat. The owner is very friendly, and I'm sure if you had called him instead of leaving the most entitled review, he would have refunded your money. Why leave a review that make ppl cringe, and wish you would shut up instead of droning on and on?! This is basically fast food, not a Gordon Ramsey five star restaurant. Get a grip on yourself. I would be embarrassed to leave a review like this. Also to the person complaint they didn't get enough. If the portion they give you isn't enough, you have to be a giant person. If you want more veggies, then order a side of them. There's no way most people can finish this in one sitting, and there is no need to make a big deal out of something so small. I love this place, and so do many others...otherwise they would be out of business in a small...
