We came here for lunch on a whim as my husband was craving katsu.

They were able to accommodate for our stroller as we had our sleeping infant with us.

We ordered a chicken katsu bento and a tonkatsu bento. Comes with miso soup. Miso soup was delicious, came out hot. Just enough tofu and seaweed. Flavor was mild, not too salty.

Bento itself was portioned fairly well. Tempura was crispy outside and tender inside. Salad was okay. Rice was a tad sticky but otherwise good. Chicken katsu was crispy and flavorful. Katsu sauce was given but not needed. Tonkatsu was a little dry, tough to chew.

We also had shared a specialty roll. Felicita roll. If you're a fan of soft shell crab, I would recommend this one. We both enjoyed it.

Our server was practically a one man show - hosting, serving and bussing at once. Props to him.

Overall, a solid sushi place. Would come here again.

It was a 45 min drive to Escondido from O'side but we thought it was worth the drive. Wowwee!!! Everything was amazing!!! Have not been to this place in years! Now since we just went I am wondering why? We received a coupon in the mail for a lunch special. Buy one Bento and get one free between the hours of 11-3pm. So we took our coupon and went. You have 4 choices of lunch Bentos. We chose the grilled chicken teriyaki. It is a fantastic meal! You get Miso soup to start, then your plate comes with salad, a good helping of chicken, a scoop of white rice, 2 pieces of California Roll, and 5 pieces of tempura veggies and 1 shrimp!!
