This noon we went to the Denny's in Espanola. The cashier/hostess was paying out guests that were leaving. Finally she asked my partner how many guests will be dining with us and he responded that theirs 2 of us. She replied give me a second and i will get your table. Then she sat the two that were ahead of us. When she came back she asked the next couple how many are dining with us and they replied 2 as well. She responded that it will be a 15 minute to 20 minute wait. Then she looked over at us again and asked the same question as she forgot the conversation prior, how many guests are dining with us as we were ready to be seated and she asked how many do you have in your party? we replied 2 and then she told us it will be 15 to 20 minutes of a wait thinking that we just came in. So unfortunately i was very upset that she forgot that she would have a table for us in a second and pretended that she hadn't talked to us before. So I asked to speak with a manager. She comes back with an attitude and then i got upset with her. I told her we will be leaving. This whole situation could have been handled so much better if she could have apologized on what she told us earlier was a mistake and that it would be a longer wait instead of pretending that we were new customers just coming in. If a restaurant is going to have a person that's designated to handle the front register as well as dealing with hostessing, then maybe there should be a system where you take names down instead of making promises that can't be filled. The position that she was tasked to do was obviously to much for her to handle and maybe instead of losing customers, the restaurant would have someone that can handle this more...
Read moreDON'T EAT HERE! Stopped on the way from Taos. I ordered a cheeseburger and after two bites, I pulled a long blonde hair out of my mouth. I told our horrible child waitress, Brenda about it and that we wanted the manager. Brenda came back and told me they could only give us a discount and that nobody in the kitchen has blonde hair. I was shocked as I sat there with my long hair hair pulled in a pony tail. Ten minutes later the manager still was not there. I asked Brenda again and I said I had already asked for the manager. She said, "No, you didn't." As we are waiting at the counter for the manager, who we were told was on a break, one of the waitresses with long dyed platinum hair was flipping her hair around in the kitchen yelling, "my bad," as the cook with no teeth was smirking at us through the window. The manager finally showed up and said we didn't have to pay for the cheeseburger. At this point I was steaming and didn't care about the cheeseburger as this Brenda child was telling me I disrespected her. I'm a 61 year old woman that is NOT going to be disrespected by a smart mouth child. The manager apologized several times and appeared to be shocked when I told her about the fake blonde hair flipper and toothless cook. I'm still furious and mad and I still plan on finding out the name of the owner because he needs to know what his...
Read moreJust went here, and had the best Denny’s experience I’ve had for a very long time. The whole waitstaff was kind and attentive, checking in on everyone as they went past. I, dining on my own most of the time, am used to being overlooked for the higher paying customers, but I didn’t at all feel that way today. My meal was delivered quickly and without issue, my waiter Anthony made very regular rounds and was there almost as soon as I could think of something I needed. I’d also like to thank the waitress Shantelle for also regularly checking on all customers, not just her own. I watched her go around with coffee making sure everyone’s cups were full. I only wish I had caught the name tags of more of the staff, because every single one I interacted with were wonderful. Whoever was cooking that day was also definitely good at their job. I have no complaints whatsoever on their food, and it came out super quickly despite the fact I arrived at about the same time as a party of seven. So whoever runs this Denny’s, hang on to whoever was working at 10 am on 9/6/22. They seem to be a very good crew, and as a pretty regular Denny’s enjoyer, I hope they are there next time...
