Probably the best meal I've had in a long time. It was most definitely the best breakfast I've had in a long time. I went with my girlfriend and her mother on Memorial Day. We had to wait about 30 minutes for a table, but it was so worth it. I'm not a coffee connoisseur by any means, but I really enjoyed it so much, I had 3 cups instead of my usual one cup. I ordered the Eggs Cassidy. The flavors and textures were what aficionados would call on point. Every bite was worth savoring! My gf had a wafflini, which was amazing because she was nice enough to offer a bite. My gf's mother got the classic German spaetzle. She said it was delicious and came as a huge portion. Enough for her to bring leftovers home. If you haven't tried The Pinwheel, you don't know what you're missing!

The Pinwheel with its western/ cowboy decor and warm yellow walls with sunshine beaming in make for a cozy environment to enjoy their unique and delicious offerings from the kitchen. It’s the service and food that truly shine's though. All are prepared by a very talented local owner/chef who knows how to create a unique menu with one of a kind plates. I enjoyed a delightful Popover with egg, avocado, feta and smoked salmon. The popover itself was baked with love in their kitchen. Our table also enjoyed a lovely “ waffalini” that was out of this world. There is plenty of parking for easy in and out access. Take my advice, put this restaurant on your must go list!

Excited to try a new spot for breakfast. Wanted to try something new so I ordered a waffelini (I think that’s what they called it), which was a crispy waffle with apple and cheese in it. I will say the menu did not list that there would be a sauce on top, and I think it distracted from the waffle a bit. It was almost savory like a BBQ sauce, which was confusing. I double checked the menu and no sauce was listed on this item. Loved it otherwise, eggs were yummy and the coffee was fine. I wouldn’t order that particular item again but that’s on me for trying things.

A true hidden gem! This place is sneakily amazing. You walk in and see antlers and hear Willy playing on the radio and think, “Cool…country diner vibes”. Then you get to the menu and see that it is so, so much more. The dishes are grounded in classic diner fare, but their execution is gourmet level deliciousness. Their chili is next-level goodness, made with what I feel was braised steak instead of ground meat, and served with griddle toasted corn muffins. It doesn’t get any better. Or maybe it does. My wife had a poached egg in a poblano/tomato stew that was as original as it was tasty.

We cannot wait to go back and try out the 8-10 other items that had us each wondering if we should just order “one of everything.”

This is our new go-to—their menu is such a great combination of staples and innovative dishes that everyone in your party will find something to love, and you’ll never get bored.

Once was enough... We were a party of 3 and paid $50 for breakfast. Two of us were still so hungry when we left that we ended up at McDonald's. I ordered a waffle with apple compote and was served basically a cracker. It was paper thin, crunchy, flavorless, and TINY. My friend ordered a Belgian waffle with berries and he was happy with his meal. The sage lemonade was tasty. The seats were very comfortable. The servers were friendly and I don't fault them at all for the long wait times; there was a sign at the door that said they were understaffed. Though, I'm confused about whether water was supposed to be self serve? Our drinks were never refilled. I was also shocked to see that we were overcharged for 3 items on our bill and we had to request that it be corrected. We will not...

I was super excited for a new breakfast spot in Essex. We tried it out Saturday. Sadly, this place will be a one and done for us. They don’t serve omelets so I went with the BLT. My BLT had two pieces of bacon, it was basically a tomato sandwich on soggy ultra thin bread. The other half got what he thought would be a meal, it was two sunny side up eggs along with 2 mini over cooked sausage links and a pinwheel. We ordered apricot, but 30ish minutes later when the food was ready they were out of apricot pinwheels. I had to refill my own coffee and water, I assumed the waitress would, I couldn’t tell if it was supposed to be self serve. Sara was either having a bad day or she hates her job, couldn’t tell which. So we paid the almost $40 with tip and headed to the Athen’s dinner...
