This restaurant has been around for ever but after a fire a few years back they have remodeled everything from top to bottom on the inside. The decor is very inviting, comfortable and clean! The menu is well done with an amazing selection. We decided to go with the "Blind Plate" where they choose the food items for you once they check on food allergies and things that you simply can't eat. We had the 5 course meal, $55 a person, sooooooo much food. Everything we had from start to finish was amazing! The owner came out to check on us, explained the food and kept coming back to make sure we loved everything. I can not say enough about how pleasant the staff and owners were, so friendly it was like a visit to my family. I loved this place so much!!! Very clean inside, super clean bathrooms and everything was simply perfect. If you are in the area you really need to check this place out, you will not be disappointed.

Google didn’t steer us wrong! We had a Dr. Appt. close by, I like to visit local restaurants. First the atmosphere was that out of an old time Italian kitchen. The soft sounds of the Italian music, and Mama chatted with us throughout our meal. She and her husband have had the restaurant for 34 years We tried the meatball appetizer with the pesto. They were very good! Then my husband had the involtini which was home made lasagna sheets rolled and filled with ricotta, mozzarella and Parmesan with their meat sauce. They have several sauces to choose from. I had the cavatelli with rosella sauce and it was very good, but after tasting my husbands I was a little jealous. Oh and I forgot the lasagna soup! Outstanding. 😊 If we’re back up this way we would definitely come back. Our server Lauren was very sweet, she made recommendations that were spot on, and was very attentive. I’m glad I found this gem.

The pictures I took don't do the food justice. This place is fantastic! Service was attentive and even with the pandemic we felt safe and very taken care of. The food was delicious. We shared the polenta appetizer, it was lush! Everyone had different kinds of pasta, all were exceptionally good. Fantastic ingredients cooked well. Dessert was a show stopper. We had heard that Mama Catena's was famous for their cannoli cake. It's not on the menu but we asked and our delightful server smiled and said, let me see what I can do. A few minutes later he came out with the most beautiful tower of cake. It tasted just like it looked, amazing. I've lived in Euclid nearly 50 years, not sure why this is the first time I've been here but we will back. Honestly this place is the best and may be better than any restaurant in little Italy. Yum.

This is the second and the last time that we ever go here. We came in today. No other customers were there. First thing that I noticed was the dirty plate on the table that was made. After about a 20 minute wait. My husband went by the counter and no one was there. He then called the phone number off of the menu thinking that someone would answer the phone and no one did. The women who is the daughter of the owners then came in and said are you ready? We told her that we were ready A LONG time ago and she said I had put the bread in the oven for you and that was why I took so long.

We then placed the order for 2 plates of Cheese Ravioli and 1 order of meatballs. Italian dressing on our salad. The bread then came out and I had asked her for butter. She said to me in an smart argumentative attitude, we DO NOT have butter, we already have olive oil on the bread. I told her that I would be more than happy to pay for the butter.

She then came back with the butter that was about 1 inch thick. I picked up the bread which was NOT fresh out of the oven and was actually COLD and was like stale bread that was put back in a microwave to heat. The butter was hard as a rock and when I tried to spread it on a piece of bread, it tasted just like a rotten refrigerator smells.

Our salad came out and that was fine, but did not have enough dressing on it.

Then our Ravioli's came out and there were 2 orders of meatballs instead of the 1 order that we ordered. The meatballs were $5.00 extra and were not any bigger than the small meatballs in a can of spaghettio's.

The sauce was actually very good. but there is NO WAY that these ravioli's were homemade. I am Sicilian and I made these my entire life homemade. She came to the table and asked if everything was ok. She noticed that I was only eating the filling and not the dough. I told her that the dough was way too thick and it was not cooked long enough.

She remembered that i came there the one other time and stated that she thought that I liked it then, I reminded her that remember last time I said that they were too doughy and that they did not taste homemade.

The bill was $35 for the two lunch specials. While we were eating another BIG party came in for a meeting and she was more than happy to cater to these people.

We will NEVER come back to this restaurant for these reasons:

No.1 WE are the people who keep this place in business and do not deserve AT ANY TIME to EVER feel insulted and reprimanded for asking for anything.

No.2 Customer Service is EVERYTHING in owning any business and we work HARD for our money than to spend it on a restaurant that takes no pride in what they provide.

No.3 The Food is NOT worth what they are charging for.

They say that they have been in business since 1989. I have no idea how. They have no servers at all.

I'll start by saying the food was very flavourful. I can tell these are quality ingredients too. However, they are hidden beneath an unnecessary amount of salt. Reduce the salt by half on all dishes and it will be an award winning menu. Second the service. I felt that my interaction with the host was less than favorable. When I hand a person my credit card or cash to pay, I expect to receive my change or card back in the same manner. You may not be aware if this, but many people consider it rude to place these mention items back on the counter for the "customer" to pick up. Also as she was getting my order she made sure to remove the tip jar as. This made me feel uncomfortable as if to insinuate that I may steal it. After I returned home, I called the restaurant to discuss the matter. I told her first off that I like the food, however I kinda felt like I was being treated as an undesirable based on our earlier interaction. The response I got was hysteria, tears, and a finger pointing back at me. She told me that my "accusations" were offensive and how dare I say such a thing. She claimed she wasn't being racist but I didn't even mention anything about race. I just felt like I was being treated like a thief at the time. So as she continued to portray herself as the victim with tears. I continued my explanation. Saying it may have been a misunderstanding. Even so, just like any other adult, instead of heading directly to Google I rather handle the matter professionally. I understand the hysteria if I was accusing her of being racist but that wasn't the case. Im a very mild mannered person in general that hates to complain about anything. It just seems to me like the person hates to take criticism. If you're reading this. I have no I'll will or intentions towards you. It's hard to find good food a reasonable price these days. I don't wish to sour a good relationship before it even has a chance to start. I'm sure there is some amazing talent working behind the scenes, just keep in mind that first impressions are crucial to a...

I absolutely love Mama Catena's. It's the best Italian restaurant ever. However, this past weekend my girlfriends and I tried their blind plate 5 course meal with wine flight for $63.00 (before tip) and I have to say I'm extremely disappointed with it. It was also unfortunate that we had to keep hunting down our waitress to refill our water glasses. There were 9 women and we started off with an appetizer. It was cheese, meats, and olives and was delicious. With the app we had a champagne and that was great too. Next followed a salad with orange and olives in it. If there was dressing in the salad it was such a small amount I didn't even notice. The salad was quite small but I figured it should be since we still had 3 courses to go. Next came out the ravioli and a truffle filled pouch noodle that looked like a purse. Both were fantastic but this is where it gets disappointing...there were 9 women and only 9 raviolis and 9 pouches on the serving plate. So we each had one and that was it. Then came the steak and potatoes which again was fantastic but same thing, only 9 so we each had one. We were given a glass of red wine that paired nicely as well. We had eggplant next with ricotta and if you're an eggplant person this is something you have to order because it was delicious. We then ended with the cannoli cake which was so good I wish we were given more. That rounded out our evening and then we realized this was our breakdown: shared appetizer, small salad, 1 ravioli, 1 truffle pouch, I slice of steak, 2 potato wedges, 2 pieces of eggplant, a small serving of cannoli cake and 2 glasses of wine. That's it...for $63.00. Definitely not worth the price and I highly suggest to everyone to NOT do the blind plate unless you just want a tasting. If you're starving, try anything else...
