Ok, I have been trying to decide how to leave an honest helpful review without sounding cheap or too picky so I am going to do my best here.
We ordered a pretzel with beer cheese, chicken wings, chicken tenders, two bar pints, and two beer bottles. Our bill was more than I expected it to be for the quality of food we received.
The chicken was the most disappointing for what it cost considering they were not homemade but frozen and fried. My husband felt the wings were also over priced for the quality. The French fries were good as was the pretzel, which was most likely premade frozen and baked.
I personally think the drinks are overpriced, no bar menu, the only wine they had was a bottle in the fridge and the waitress did not know what it was.
The atmosphere is noisy, it is a sports bar of course, the staff was nice and attentive.
So what do I think of this place? If you are wanting good fresh ingredients cooked food, this is not the place for you. It is a limited menu. Sadly they could probably make more money with better fresh ingredients, but they make a killing on their drinks so they are probably not too worried about it.
If you are wanting that noisy fun bar vibe and drinks but don't mind overpaying for just ok food. This place is fine.
If you are wanting fresh not frozen ingredients there is a better restaurant that can provide that across the street.
Overall for what this place is,...
Read moreI'm confused by most of the reviews. I guess I'll start with the good.
The location and atmosphere are great. If mixed drinks are your thing, it's probably the best place in town. Nick used to be at Belt40 and is now here, and he might be the best drink/cocktail maker in the area.
However... The food we had was not even decent. I had a burger that I didn't finish. It was just bad. Not just bad compared to other restraunts, but bad even compared to a McDonald's. My wife and one kid both got salads. The portions were smaller than a side salad at most places, yet cost like a normal dinner salad. I think my youngest kid got chicken strips or nuggets, and they were just reheated from frozen and not good. We were left all fighting for the scraps of pretzel appetizer because it was decent. But afterwards everyone was still hungry and we went to the food trucks to get full.
I could get past the bad food if it had a good beer selection. It is a tavern after all. However the beer selection was pretty small. Not many options other than the generic stuff everyone has. Belt40, Captain Johns, and other places in the area had way better...
Read moreEdited: just the response I expect. If you make customers wait 30 mins to get a drink or food, expect zero tip and nothing but the bare minimum from me, as that is what I received from you. The note was given due to the snarky looks I received from the server. I didn’t “creep out your waitresses” anybody that knows me knows what an unfound claim that is. Anybody other than your biased staff that was there would attest that I was calm, cordial, and respectful. Up to the point the child threw my debit card on the ground. Never thought id be ostracized for expecting service from a service provider. Your failure to remedy the actions of a bad employee is a reflection of the business owner. I only asked for some food and a beer. The escalation was done on your behalf. I stand by the statement left on my receipt and extend it to the business owner reading this review.
Service was horrible and the waitress was very rude. Took 30 mins and me jumping in her walkway to get an order and then she threw my debit card on the ground because she was throwing a temper tantrum like...
