The place was packed, but the patrons have obviously never eaten authentic Mexican food. They got my order wrong, so I took it back, but they wouldn't keep my other order warm, so they had to eat cold food. I only asked for a cheese chili relleno lunch that comes with a taco, but wanted to exchange beans for the meat because I'm a vegetarian. Very simple.
They gave me a taco with meat and no chili relleno. When they exchanged it, I got a chili relleno, but they'd dumped the runny beans on top of it. Seriously? Why? It should be either a cheese sauce or salsa.
I'm terribly disappointed. We were hoping it would be our new "favorite" restaurant to go to when we want Mexican, but I'm afraid to make another order or they'll get it wrong again. They never got it right, even with two tries and it's simple.
Also, add a touch of cayenne and maybe some tomatillos to your guacamole with a bit more salt. Use a mocajete to mash the onion, garlic, and everything together so the flavors merge....
Read moreHad high hopes for this place but everything was wrong from the second we sat down. Menus smelled of mold from them wiping them down and leaving them wet. Odd thing to say but go in and smell them for yourself. It’ll stain your hands. Chips and salsa was good. Ordered cheese and it was the consistency of water. We asked for tortillas and they were worse than store bought. You go to a Mexican place and expect the usual hot, soft, fluffy tortilla…. Nope. Ordered a quesadilla and there was absolutely no cheese on it and what’s more is they didn’t even cut it. Loaded a tortilla and folded it in half and served it to us. Another person at our table got the Stevens special and once again.. no cheese and after we notified waitstaff they drowned it in cheese to the point where it wasn’t edible. Kids ordered chicken nuggets and fries and chicken nuggets were burned. The place wasn’t busy and I am hardly ever picky but...
Read moreGiven this places multiple chances to prove me wrong. My wife who is from Mexico says it's a disgrace to their food culture. Terrible prices, burnt food.
We recommend Lopez Grill off 69 in Muskogee. Worth the drive. And for Locals and Visitors. It's worth the short drive to Longtown for Los Arcos who proves every time authentic Mexican food! CHEAP prices! LARGE portions. Unlike La finca.
My last experience with la finca they told me the salad does not come with my fajitas. Just rice and beans. Everytime I went there I ordered the same thing and always received the full course. Between 2 of us we order the same thing at Los Arcos for $35 all together. La finca charges $60 Huge price difference.
La Finca needs a new Chef, new leader. I hope they do figure it out and represent Mexican food more respectfully. Not overprice things either!
