Countryside Diner is like being in a "country version" of a Huddle House, they have "wood" tables and some "wood" on the decor inside the door. I had the 2 egg combo and everything came the way I ordered it (I like my eggs over well but not wrecked). I had more food than I could eat so next time I am getting the senior order for sure (half the food). My husband had the "Bulldog" breakfast and he said it was very good, he cleaned his plate so it must have been. They kept coming around offering coffee refills too. The reasons that I can't give five stars is because the only breakfast potato option is deep fried home fries, (no hash browns here, I need to avoid fried foods and I don't eat grits) so I only ate a small amount of them. They were not "fried to a crisp" though, so that was a good thing. Also, the people that came in after us had their order taken before us (one of my biggest pet peeves). Otherwise, we had a "good"...
Read moreVisiting from S. Florida I am always looking forward to Florida's comfort food and the positive reviews helped. It's an open kitchen / bar stool set up, there's also booths, me being alone I gladly sat at the bar, you can see your food being cooked right in front of you. I enjoyed what I ordered -- Panther breakfast -- I couldn't eat it all, my eyes got too big. Next time I will order the french toast & homemade potatoes. It was a bit warm, being it small with one whole side of the restaurant being a large window, good lighting bit with Florida's summer heat I should've ordered a cold juice beverage instead of coffee. Nice elderly man sitting two stools down said hi which is always nice & welcoming. Just one small oversight of mine... if you enjoy hot sauce but without the mexican spices I wouldn't use their "chula" hot sauce. I prefer tabasco - nothing against mexican food/flavor but didn't like it much on...
Read moreI recently visited this charming local spot for a mid-morning Saturday breakfast, housed in an old Waffle House building. Despite the place being packed, my wife and I were lucky to snag seats at the counter—a real treat that let us watch the grill cooks work their magic. Their speed and teamwork were impressive and quite entertaining as they efficiently handled a busy rush. For breakfast, my wife enjoyed classic biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon, while I opted for pancakes and sausage. Both dishes were generously portioned and delicious. Our coffee, served in mugs, was spot on and complemented our meals perfectly. The staff were exceptionally friendly, and the prices were very reasonable. Overall, this restaurant offers a delightful breakfast experience with great food, lively atmosphere, and excellent service. I highly recommend...
