If you’re searching for an authentic, down-home breakfast experience, this local gem is a must-visit. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted with the mouthwatering aroma of sizzling goodness and a vibe that immediately tells you this place is the real deal. It’s a small business, cash-only, but trust me, they deliver on flavor and atmosphere in a way that’s hard to beat. They serve their meals on adorable cast iron skillet-style plates, giving each dish an “off-the-griddle” authenticity that feels both rustic and inviting. The cooks behind the counter are hard at work, flipping and clinking their greasy spatulas, filling the space with a comforting, nostalgic feeling that lets you know you're in for something special.
Ordering here is a relaxed, casual process—just walk up to the counter, place your order, grab a number, and find a spot to settle in. There’s plenty of seating, both indoors and outside, so whether you prefer the bustling interior or fresh air, you’ll find a cozy spot to dig into your meal. The packed parking lot speaks volumes; word is clearly out that this spot has mastered the art of breakfast. And if you’re a coffee lover, don’t miss the subtle hint of cinnamon in the brew—a Mexican-inspired touch that adds a warm, comforting note to your morning cup.
The food arrived promptly, and I couldn’t help but marvel at the sheer volume of hash browns on their grill. It’s something you have to see to believe—an incredible mound of crispy, golden potatoes, perfectly prepared to accompany any breakfast plate. While the kitchen staff politely declined my request for a photo or video of the hustle, I respected their focus and dedication to their craft. Honestly, this spot doesn’t need photos to convey its charm; it’s a local treasure that’s best experienced in person. For anyone seeking a unique, unchained breakfast spot with authentic flavors and a welcoming, lively atmosphere, this place should be high...
Read moreAnyone who has posted less than 5 stars doesn't get it. That's your fault, not Sarkis'. The more reviews I read, the more I see that people are lazy and don't know how to read the vibes of a place or respect an institution. You don't know how to order, and expect table service on a weekend morning? Tough cookies, sweetheart, how do you see people consistently served at the counter yet not realize "oh, hey, looks like you order at the counter and they'll bring it to you." You ever wanted a place like the soup restaurant in Seinfeld? Well, here ya go. Figure it out, or ask somebody who knows how to order, and voila -- welcome to heaven. Boo hoo, stairs and a wait. You waited because you don't know how to approach the counter. Yeah, there's codes and a process to the place, and I wish that could be said of more spots (as if we can't all think of a Vienna Beef spot that requires some kind of knowhow). It's like a Malort shot -- your friend gets you to take one, you experience it (and hopefully come to love it), and then you're part of something and can pass it to the next person. Sorry, but I'm tired of the uninitiated and meek writing bad reviews because they lack moxie.
Coming close to my 20-years-of-flawless-Sarkis-experiences point, and I'm looking forward to another 20. Food is always beautiful, service is always fast & with a smile, I wish literally anything else in my life could be as consistent as the Lorettas I've enjoyed over the years, but until my wife and I hit the 20yr anniversary mark...Sarkis is the...
Read moreI was very disappointed. I had came here a few times in the past at least maybe 5yrs ago or so. I decided to go again with high expectations because my last visit was great. Well, this time around it was not a good experience whatsoever. My table and seat was still dirty with food even after the wipe down. My food was a sloppy mess with no flavor at all. I ordered the steak sandwich. The steak had no flavor and it was overcooked. The vegetables were cut in huge dice chunk pieces that made it in possible to eat because it was either hard to chew or falling out of my sandwich. The cheese was way too thick it was a gooey mess; it honestly looked like a paste on top of my sandwich. The cheese looked like a Mexican cheese that u would use for tacos or Quesadillas. The taste of the cheese was sour too. I kept taking it off my sandwich. Since my steak sandwich was so bland I drowned it with ketchup. I shouldn't have to do that. Also, the hash browns I ordered was horrible as well. It was burned and undercooked. I was very disappointed and surprised because the other times that I did come it was a good experience. The restaurant was not busy at all when I was there around 1pm or so. My food came out to me extremely fast maybe that's the reason? I don't know but it was just not good. I wasted about 15 dollars on awful food. That's not...
