My wife's letter to corporate: My husband and I stopped at the Starbucks on Crawford And Central in Evanston to have a little alone time away from the baby. It was 8pm and we ordered 2 drinks: a pumpkin spice latte and an iced chile mocha. I received my chile mocha and immediately noticed that it was very light in color. Upon tasting it I found there were no espresso shots added to my drink. My wife went back inside and asked the barista, Katie, to remake it. She seemed confused and asked another barista to make it...perhaps she was new which is fine, everyone has to learn at some point. However, my issue was that the shift supervisor, Laura, who came in and immediately told her to not remake the drink, as I asked, and to just pull shots and add them to my previously made drink. She did not acknowledge me and seemed too preoccupied in keeping the store clean to make for a easy close. She was reluctant to allow the baristas to use any of the equipment to make the drinks. One of the baristas struggled to find something to use to retrieve ice to make another customer an iced tea. I was very disappointed by this visit and felt that my presence was a annoyance to the shift shift supervisor Laura. Read moreThis location is right by my work which is why I go here. Unfortunately you can't place an order here if the workers have closed the door for walk-in in customers and mobile orders. On top of that you can't even go to the drive thru window on foot. I'm not sure if they're short handed, but this has been going on for some time. It just seems really lazy on the employees part that no one is allowed to pace an order though the window. Should really consider hiring more employees or finding an alternative way to serve your customers. Update 7/22/22 Walked in today there were at least 3 people working when I walked in. Immediately told only the drive thru is open. Could hear Employee saying that they need to lock the door behind me. Completely done with this location. While we pulled up to pay he was rudely telling us to answer the question and then started shacking the monitor for us to pay. Later he repeated our order correctly so we thought it was fine. Then we receive our order and it is completely the wrong size and he started getting mad at us as if we didn’t tell him. Later he tells us to pay again and tells us to pull up. After waiting 10 minutes to receive our order AGAIN, the girl rudely gives us our order again! We asked her if she had added extra drizzle and she got mad and said she wasn’t remaking it and left.
