Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Evansville

My husband and I met up with my son and 2 of my grandchildren at this Chili's location. I ordered our adult meals then ordered from the children's menu. These two children don't eat much. So I ordered 1 childs meal for the two of them to split. Then I asked for the Kraft Mac and Cheese as a side to the kids meal. The waitress explained that the kids Kraft Mac and Cheese does not come as a side. I understood and said I'd pay the price (as if getting another child's meal). The Mac and Cheese that came out was the White Cheddar (the adult version). The kids would not eat it. I explained all over again to the waitress I ordered from the kids menu... the Kraft Mac and Cheese. She finally agreed to get what I'd ordered.

From the moment we were seated (about 11:30am) the waitress had a distracted/flippant attitude and kept it the entire time we were there.

When we received our check we were not only charged for the White Cheddar Mac and Cheese (that we didn't order) but we're charged full price for the 2nd child's meal that we only wanted the Kraft Mac and Cheese. I felt one or the other should have been removed from the check. We were traveling cross country FL to MT and didn't have time to deal with the issue right then... My home town in Montana doesn't have a Chili's. My husband buys me Chili's gift cards for all my special events. The closest is 4 hours away and I will travel the miles to eat at Chili's, do it often. This particular "service" was the worst yet... we just wanted...

The food we received 11/19/2022 was the absolute worst I've had in years, if not my entire life. We ordered delivery of the Pepper Pals cheeseburger bites with a side salad, southwestern eggrolls with avocado ranch dressing (which we didn't receive), and spicy shrimp tacos with rice and black beans. The cheeseburger bites were unbelievably salty, completely dried out, hard as rocks, and mostly burnt black. The menu didn't mention that there was spice on the burgers much less the overwhelming amount that was present. No one could fault my friend's daughter for not eating more than a single bite. The side salad was also inedible. We were horrified to discover that it contained rotten lettuce, forcing us to put it in the trash. In addition to the rotten lettuce, we discovered brown, rotten avocado in all three of the shrimp tacos after taking a bite of one of the horribly salty, overly spiced concoctions. The tacos joined the salad in the trash. The southwestern eggrolls were equally awful. One of them was partially unwrapped and missing filling. The lost filling was a minor matter due to the soggy, oily eggroll's strange, rotten spinach taste. We threw away the eggrolls as well after taking a couple of bites. After throwing out the food, we wondered if the small amount we ate would make us sick. Words can't describe our anger at Chili's complete disregard for customer health and safety by selling food containing rotten ingredients. We'll never eat at the Evansville...

Been here several times, but the last few times have been disappointing. The last few times we kept getting this server named Steven I think? If I’m incorrect on his name, he’s a blonde male, maybe in his 30s

We sat down and he placed the utensils down and walked away without saying anything and didn’t get our drinks. 10 min later he comes over and asks for our order, I had to order my drink first which was awkward!

The food took about 20 min while there was about 6 tables seated and most of them were already eating.

He served us our food and never checked on us again until we asked for the ticket, but yet we noticed he checked on the other tables frequently.

A previous time we came here we were still eating and he handed us our ticket without asking and walked away. Very rude to rush people with food on their plates still.

My husband had to get up and ask for someone else to check us out because he never came, and the lady rolled her eyes when my husband said that as if he’s done this with every table he sits.
