McDonald's — Restaurant in Evansville

Charges $1.00 for a large water, kinda snippy about it whenever you insist you want one.

This location closes super early in the evening, usually at 11:00 p.m. Given that they're within two miles of a college, this seems like a ridiculous oversight as the remaining two fast food joints always have lines in their drive-thrus until midnight or 1 a.m. respectively.

Otherwise, it's a McDonald's. The food's identical to every other McDonald's in town. All I can really judge the place on are the multitude of times I've come home late from work and would've dropped $10 on some food, only to see the sign flick off because they close pitifully early.

There's also an odd rule against multiple orders from a single vehicle in the drive-thru which, on paper I get, but in a college town where you're likely to get an SUV full of broke students each buying their own food in PJs, you're just sending them to Taco Bell across the street.

UPDATE: Have tried using the online order app twice. Both times it was painfully obvious our order was 1: not started until we arrived and 2: The drive-thru took precedence over our order.

Both times we waited over 15 minutes in the parking lot for an annoyed-looking employee to deliver a bag of food. Both times were orders for a family member at home, and both times we arrived home to find multiple things wrong with each order.

One was somewhat complicated with multiple sandwiches, the other was a simple order of nuggets and two kinds of sauce. Both kinds of sauce were wrong.

While this didn’t happen to me, I witnessed it and it was enough to change my opinion on a manager at this location. I couldn’t hear everything that went on but what I heard and how the manager Heather handled it was awful.

There was a mixup at the window. From what I could hear; (keep in mind I was in the lobby and this conversation was in the kitchen) a woman had driven straight to the window and asked for her order. From what Heather was saying, this woman had claimed she was confused about the lanes (it was busy) and didn’t know what to do so she never ordered, just waited in line until she got to the second window. They told her she’d need to come through the line again and actually order. What happened next is what shocked me. Heather proceeded to LOUDLY demean this woman. She said she was an idiot, how stupid could she be, she must have just woken from a 30 year coma and so much more. She went on for a good 10 minutes. You could hear it all in the dinning area. The woman came in and you could hear Heather speaking about the woman STILL. The cashier was visibly uncomfortable and I witnessed the manager snap at her multiple times too for simple things, such as asking for more change for the register.

I never witnessed or heard the woman say anything rude or raise her voice. She came in and ordered her food and left. But Heathers behavior was abhorrent and embarrassing. I will not go to an establishment where management can abuse...

Ordered 2 mcdoubles and 2 small fries there was a girl in there complaining and repicking up food that was wrong yesterday and her and the manager was fighting cause it was made wrong again and told her that was all they were doing. My fricking order I checked before I left after hearing her out and I opened my Mcdoubles and right before my eyes I could of went off but I was nice and said to the manager ok hey I don't mean to interrupt but it was left without the main product. There were no beef patties on them I was at that point getting very disappointed because instead of fresh ones after them handled my food again threw patties on and handed them back to me. Now that is discust . I decided I need to always fix my own food McDonalds haz been getting our orders wrong thru the drive thru so I thought it would be better going in but that's wrong. That's the 2nd time this has happened to me I didn't know until we got home with them heated in microwave like you always have to bit in and no meat They always want you to come back really with the price of gas it should be right the first time with all the workers that's there just for the money nothing to do with pleasing customers now days...
