Panda Express — Restaurant in Evansville

We LOVE panda express, have been eating it all over the country for years. Definitely I would call some of their dishes in my favorite foods list. SAYING THAT: Evansville location is HORRIBLE ever since it opened. Management is HORRIBLE because its now been around long enough to be able to solve the issues they had early on. Staff horrible, constantly out of food, out of things like chowmain noodles, which is one of their main items, constantly out of other items as well. The staff is VERY SLOW and just couldn't give a care about the customers. Drive through is the worst - I have not gone through drive through once where they got my order correct. Ever. Even when you ask them to make sure they give you certain things, sauces, they don't care to do it, and on top of that STILL GET YOUR ORDER WRONG. Horrible place. Came in yesterday, waited about 15 minutes in line (of only 4 people!) while employees literally walked around with bored faces barely moving, only to get to counter and they were out of 4 different items, ironically, all the things I wanted to get. Insane. Obviously issues start at management level because its up to them to fix it, and they've had over a year now to deal with this= and haven't. Sucks that its the only panda express in the area, so no choice but to go there when you get the craving, but driving 20 minutes to constantly get disappointed...

Food is okay. It tastes like it was frozen and came out of bags. Fried rice has no favor or seasoning, zero eggs as in photo online, just sprinkles of vegetables. The most boring fried rice imaginable. The Chicken is okay. The crab ragoon is cream cheese only, no crab, immatation crab, or seasoning. The egg roll is overly crunchy and hard like it has been sitting for hours or was overcooked. Get lots of sauce. You will need it to flavor the bland dry food.

I ordered online and walked in to pickup. Pickup has a sign to the right, but the employees make sure you are last in line and have to wait to pickup your packaged prepaid order after everyone else that was in the store when you arrived is checked out. There is basically zero advantage to ordering ahead because they make you wait in line anyway.

I wish food places would do digital drop boxes with codes. So you can just grab your order with no line and go without waiting or dealing with staff.

The employee that waited on me was polite and courteous. The store was busy with 3 employees working. A family was checking out when I arrived, and another family was ordering when I arrived.

For the money $15+ per person, I recommend the Chinese Buffets or...

The Chinese lady on the microphone is always rude and has zero patience for the customers in the drive through. The meat portions are always off. One day you get more and the next time you come you get a lot less. I usually order the mushroom chicken but had to stop ordering it after they put just vegetables on my plate with 2 baby chunks of chicken. I couldn’t tell if it was mushroom chicken or all mushrooms and vegetables. The super greens are always extremely hard. The beyond chicken was so nasty it almost felt like I was chewing on plastic rubber bands. The texture is off and the flavor is nasty and not seasoned at all. They also will up charge you 1.25 if you get double portions of it in a plate style which I did mistakenly. I just wish I never ordered it. It’s over priced and disgusting. They are always pulling you around and parking you because they are always out of something. The wait is usually 10-20mins. The company overall just needs...
