On June 7th my nephew and I visited this location and it was a packed house! So busy in fact there was only 1 car spot available for me to choose that no other cars were right next to us. A family or two were also taking advantage of the few tables on the patio up front. We arrived around 10:15/10:20pm. We found humor in the young lady employee that was seated in a lawn chair just outside the back employee door. Anywho, I had Googled their hrs prior to visiting and 11pm close had also been posted at the bottom of the menu. I assumed it would take some time for our order to be taken with the amount of cars however I did not expect to be COMPLETELY "GHOSTED" as if never pulling in at all. At approximately 10:25pm all the lights went out in the lot. 1 by 1 I listened out my window as customers started to question a male employee out on the darkened patio. "Thats a rap" he chuckled at a lady whos tone I heard instantly change to the uninformative answer the young man gave. 1 by 1 cars started to leave. Mine being 1 of the last few. No one ever came over the speaker or approached my vehicle. My red order light still blinking as I pull away. My nephew tried taking a photo of the family still eating on the patio in the dark as we were stopped before pulling out onto Covert. You see, we had actually come from the Greenriver rd location. Pulling up right at 10pm, we witnessed their lights going out too. BUT, they close at 10pm. We were excited after Googling the Covert Ave locations hours that they were still Open. Needless to say, we didnt have a "blast." I wonder how much money the store would have made in that last half hour? I hate writing bad reviews but this needs attention to help keep it from happening again.

Have come to pick up food at this sonic location many times. It has the worst wait time in town. I don’t recommend coming here for an online pick up unless you are willing to wait 40min to an hour for your order. We waited 30min for a little sundae order, and we had to pick it up ourselves, after they told us to wait in our car for ‘a little while’, for them to give it to us. Again, this has happened to us many times, at this location. The Sonic locations on Burkhardt and North Green river road, are in my opinion, the better ones.

This review is for the morning staff. Sonic on Covert Ave in Evansville, IN needs to do freaking better!!!! I ordered a jr bacon cheese burrito with extra shredded cheese and zesty sauce. I didn't get the shredded cheese, which supposed to already cone on it, and I barely got eggs. Me and my daughter's burritos came out cold. The only thing that came out right was my daughter's shake!! Customers pay their money, for your food. They should get what they pay for!!! DO BETTER COVERT AVE SONIC!!!

I have waited to post this because I have been so upset. The last few times I visited Sonic I have been devastated by disappointment. The food was cold twice, then took so long I had to leave without getting anything. The 1st time I ordered a regular chili cheese coney. It was quick service, I left because I was in a hurry got about a block away took a bite and the chili and hot dog were COLD!!! Though no biggie mistakes can be made. The second time I ordered a JR Double Cheese Burger waited 20 minutes, the sign said it was on the way out, saw everyone get orders including people who arrived after I and ordered larger orders. I called in and asked about about mine, they told me it was on the way out. The car hop said they were making it fresh and hot. I bite into my Burger to find it COLD! Fresh and hot??? Maybe 20 mins ago! The third and final let down was again with the burger, mind you it is just a Burger, and a drink. I am not ordering a large order. I had 35 minutes to be at work the drive is 20 minutes. I ordered something that should take no more that 10 minutes. I am there during a non busy time, there were only three cars in the stalls. I waited 5 mins after seeing the message that the carhop was on the way with my food then I had to leave because at that point I was pushing being late for work. I watched the car hop deliver three other cars orders that arrived after I did and after my message displayed. I did not have time for them to remake my food nor did I want I received cold food again. Just sad that my used to be favorite place has gone...

Small onion rings cost $1.99 consisted of 4 small onion rings. They were tasty but over priced for what you get.

Update: Well it has been three years since I wrote my last review. I usually drive an extra 15 minutes to AVOID this location, but it was late, I was hungry and this location is on my way home. So, throwing caution to the wind I stopped at this location. Ordered my Sonic go to meal an all American dog , a chilli cheese dog with onions and large Strawberry shake. That folk was $13 at this location. If that was not bad enough, my strawberry shake was comprised of about a inch of strawberry liquid in the bottom of the cup topped with vanilla soft serve ice cream and the usual whipped cream and cherry on top. Received my meal in a timely manner. Then stuck the straw into my shake and took a pull on it. What I received was a big slurp of strawberry liquid. While I must admit it was tasty it was also the last taste of strawberry in the cup. The meager shot of strawberry liquid in the bottom was not mixed into the ice cream. So I eat my hot dogs and ice cream. As far as I am concerned that is the LAST TIME I will ever stop at this location. I'm done with them. No third strike required. It is sad the franchisees are allowed to tarnish the image of an other wise great place to get your fast food fix, but if you find yourself hunger while drive on Covert Ave on the east side of Evansville. Just do yourself a favor. Drive on pass this location. From my experience, don't waste your time and money at...
