Taco John's — Restaurant in Evansville

The food is solid, but the management is seemingly incapable of locking this place down. The employees are revolving door, the quality of service yo-yo's wildly. You basically have to act like a hall monitor for your order. And The vibes are rancid in there. The few times I've been in the store while corporate and or the manager are breathing down the necks of the employees to make sure they get something right, it forces the employees to go too fast and they get stuff wrong faster. So not only is your order wrong, the people working there look like they feel horrible (because they probably do).

$12 burrito combo. The ONE stipulation? No tomato.

Waited slightly longer than usual for the food, and when I was handed the bag I got a burrito that has arguably the most tomato on it I have ever gotten from a Taco John's. To the point it almost feels spiteful. Or like whoever was on the line was so rushed (there were no other orders at the time) they read it as "extra tomato."

Also, they literally rebuilt this place from scratch and they chose to make the drive-thru just as bad as it was before they rebuilt. I sincerely don't understand the decisions made there.

If you're going to eat inside or have no qualms about parking and checking your food so you can go inside to get corrections before you leave, this place is perfectly fine. As I said, the food is always solid. It's just assembled wrong at least 40%...

Came here, because I was absolutely craving a good burrito, due to being pregnant, and I haven't had taco John's for 4+ years.

The service was great, atmosphere was good (they were dead) But the food. Oh god, please no. $50 DOWN THE DRAIN!!!

The only good thing was my drink, and potatoes with cheese sauce. I got the spicy steak and potato burrito. $4 for a child size burrito?!?! It wasn't even spicy at all. Couldn't taste the steak. Tasted like garbage.

My SO got the spicy steak and potato, and a spicy chicken and potato burrito. He said the steak one was better.

My kids got a steak quesadilla meal, and stuffed grilled taco meal.

They said it's just eh. They prefer taco bell. They only ate their food quick, because they were out in the sun, running around for a good few hours.

I'm also sure, I had been overcharged as well.

Like many before have said, I miss the old Taco Johns! Over the last year I've visited about 4 times and every single time the items were either incorrect or completely inconsistent with what they advertise.. I ordered the new steak quesadilla when it came out and it had maybe one tablespoon of shredded white cheese and four pieces of steak on the entire quesadilla.. I was shocked. Today, I ordered super potato oles with extra shredded cheese and a side of nacho cheese, in anticipation for the cheese shortage I'm usually met with, and I'm glad I did. You couldnt even tell there was cheese on them! They also shorted me on the meat; two bites and that was gone. What the heck... I paid over seven bucks for 20 tator tots.
