We have never been to Chasers before and I will say it's a very nice looking establishment on the outside and inside. We went around 1:15pm on a Saturday afternoon. We originally sat in the first dining/bar area, (bar on the right upon entering) but I saw the additional room on the left that looked a little more inviting. We chose to sit at table 32. It was a little busy & after sitting for a few minutes I decided to go to the bar and see if we were going to expect a server or if we needed to order at the bar? There were 3 young ladies working and as a past food industry employee, I completely understand. Two young ladies stepped in front of me and said, "sorry, we need to talk to the bartender about our check." Ok...I understand. Another bartender approached the area and asked if the other bartender needed help with anything. She saw me and asked if I needed anything. I asked if we had a server in our area and she said she would be right with us. She showed up at our table within a minute gave us 1 regular menu & 2 brunch menus. She started with our drink order..(dt coke w/lemons and a Dr. Pepper) & I ordered the, "Bang Bang Shrimp" Appetizer. As our entrees, my husband ordered the fried pork tenderloin w/waffle fries & I ordered the, "Spicy Cowboy Bacon Burger" no bun (I eat very low carb) & unfortunately, all they offer as a "low carb" option for a side item is cottage cheese. I also asked her if it was very hot 🔥 as I love spicy, but I didn't want too hot. She said I could get the fried jalapeños on the side to adjust the heat if I needed to. Our server was very nice and apologized for any service confusion, as they were training a new employee. The Bang Bang Shrimp came out in less than ten minutes. It was very good! Excellent flavors and nice/simple plating on a top of iceberg lettuce shreds. The entrees arrived, my husband's looked very good and of course, mine didn't look as appealing as I had my order altered, but I was still optimistic about it. Now, if you live in the Midwest especially Evansville, you KNOW your tenderloins and my husband is one of those people. He took a bite of a waffle fry and CRUNCH! It sounded like a potato chip and he didn't eat another one after that (very overcooked). I cut a piece of my burger and had a bite. First of all, the burger was extremely overcooked, dry, and overly salted. The bacon was cooked very well and the cottage cheese was good. My husband's tenderloin however was anything but good. It had a bit of juiceness to it and thickness, BUT zero flavor. At the end of it all we spent $50 on sub-par bar food. Our server, obviously expecting, was very sweet and precise. I don't believe we'll be back for lunch, but as inviting as the environment is, I would like to come back for drinks and...
Read moreCame here for the superbowl and was really amazed by the service, food, drink selection, and atmosphere of the place.
Wasn't sure what to expect in terms of bars / entertainment for Evansville, but some local co-workers recommended Pistons so we decided to stop in. The place was relatively busy (not overcrowded) with plenty of TV's and seating. We decided to go to the dance floor / stage side since it was less crowded and TV's weren't as noisy.
There is an amazing draft selection (at least 30 beers), with more bottled beer as well. The main bar area didn't have anything interesting in terms of whiskies, but the bar on the dance floor side was much better. Even more important, the place was clean and didn't seem as divey as it may seem from the outside. Also, the waitresses / bartenders were very friendly (and not bad on the eyes either)
However, what really made this place really memorable for me was the food. Bar food is always hit or miss, but this place was almost all hit hit hit. We got chicken wings, chicken tenders, and the ground lamb pizza. All of it was amazing - chicken wings were fried well, properly sauced, and the blue-cheese dip was good. The lamb pizza was good, nothing spectacular but a good mix of sauce, cheese, dough, and toppings. The chicken tenders were fried well and crispy on the outside, but juicy on the inside.
Will definitely come back here...
Read moreWhile this is my first time stepping inside Pistons, it was my wife second time. Her young workers like going there and we went with them to celebrate a birthday of one. The place gets one star for its different look inside, but that's where things stop. The bartender staff are by far the worst I have ever encountered (and I travel all over the US & Globally). I opened a tab to start buying drinks for the party we are with. When I found out how hopeless it is to get service, I decided to close my tab & get my card. Bartender refused to acknowledge me which left me going to security at front... He was helpful in getting her attention she was pissed (Ashley.. At least that's what I was told her name was). She handed me a receipt to sign! Nothing itamized & no credit card... When I asked for my card back, her claim was I handed to you (even people around me saw she handed me nothing) and refused to look & became belegrant in her attitude. This of course left with one choice to call my credit card company right there & cancel it Due to theft. I found out after that from my wife when she was there before with her crew & also opened a tab, the Place double charged... Summary of this avoid getting scammed by Pistons. I do thank the security person for trying to help but was shameful that Ashley yielded more power on person that is trying to protect...
